      Same dude.
I took up fishing and got a dog.
Fishing is great but my dog takes a lot of work and I'm subsequently more depressed despite all the gays telling me how great their pets are and how much they love them.
I love my dog but this is a massive cope, everyone would be happier without kids or a dog, it's just responsibility to take on that's important.
Once you start doing things that require fortitude you realise oh shit life is about taking on challenges, and you realise holy frick a dog is a challenge and a big fricking waste of time, but going outdoors is great and will quieten your trampled soul for a while.
I don't drink anymore but man I wish I did

Pets just suck. Animals aren’t intelligent in any meaningful way, so I don’t get how a dog keeps you company or is a good companion. The only reason I haven’t shot my cat and buried it in a shallow grave yet is because it’s not just exclusively my pet. But it annoys the hell out of me. It feels too mean to push it off me but I never pet it and hate when it sits on me or rubs against me. Pets are so stupid. The only good pet is basically a really trained guard dog or like a bloodhound but most pets are copes with no purpose to own

When I was a kid, my dad took my cat and drove it away and then abandoned it, but it came back. So to make sure he got rid of it for good he took it out to the country and shot it. I didn’t find out until about 10 years later when I was on the porch with him and my grandpa and the subject of the cat got brought up somehow and he told the truth about what really happened. I always thought it just ran away. Anyway, kill the cat and say it ran away

I shot a barn cat once with my 22 when I was like 10-11. I had to dispose of the body of course, there were so many of the damn things my grandfather encouraged it. But I dunno I like cats so I didn't kill one again.

I used to kill raccoons and stuff in barns with .22’s, but they’re so hard to kill with a .22. I shot one raccoon like 4 times in the body, until it fell off a rafter about 15-20 feet, and then I shot it in the head and it was still breathing. So then I kicked it in the lungs with my steel toed boats because I thought it was just nerves, but it kept breathing, so I had to shoot it again in the head, but I just couldn’t get it to die. It kept breathing for about another minute or 2 after all of that. If I had better aim and knew where the heart was maybe it would be easier idk

Once they’re wounded you should use your boot to stomp on their skull. Well, that’s what I do for small game but I never tried it on a raccoon, I bet you could crack their skull though

my grandfather would smash barn-kittens against the wall of the shed when there were too many
different times, back then they didnt give a shit about animals, at least their death was quick instead of putting them in a sack and throwing them in a river (which people did do)

Animals don’t think with any thoughts. They’re not self aware. They only can follow their instincts. I think being an animal is like seeing a movie but with no words, they just see and do unlike people who have language and are sentient. 2 year olds are way more complex than any animal except for maybe Chimps that know sign language

              >"animals" don't think with any thoughts
depends on the animal. dogs do, they are not insects. they are simple dog thoughts but thoughts nonetheless. you are telling me you would rather have a pet Black person, with Black person thoughts and Black person behaviour?

I find it kinda inspiring. In the movie the MC basically goes through the worst pain and torment possibly imaginable but still finds a way to keep going. I like how the film doesn’t have a cheesy message of “everything is going to be ok” or “it gets better.” In the film nothing is ok and nothing gets better, but the main character manages to keep on waking up every day and caring for the people close to him.
