There's a movie theater near me that shows new Indian releases every week, and this Bollywood romantic comedy called Rocky and Rani's love story was far better than any Hollywood picture I saw this year.
2023 was a really bad year for hollywood movies, sadly.
I honestly want to get into Bollywood movies, they seem like a joyful experience with punching and dancing and all of them are like 3 hours and 45 minutes long.
Yeah, its nice having a theater near me that shows new Indian movies, since it's gotten me into a lot of stuff I had no idea about. Also India doesn't just have Bollywood, that's merely the Hindi language film studio system in Mumbai. They also have major other studios in the south of the country which make films in different languages. RRR was actually a south indian movie that was made in Telegu, not Hindi.
It was actually a really big deal that RRR wasn't a Bollywood movie, because typically south indian movies were seen as amateurish by comparison, but in recent years that has changed, and with it so have tastes. Before the pandemic south indian cinema, including telegu tamil and malayalam movies made up only 15% of ticket sales in india, by the end of 2022 it had increased to 35%. So Bollywood is being seriously challenged.
India is the most movie crazy country in the world. They have the highest number of ticket sales of any country, which naturally makes sense since they're the most populous country in the world, but they also have the highest PER CAPITA ticket sales too. It's normal for people to go to the movies multiple times every single week.
I thought NYAD was really good. I liked Jodie Foster in it, but really Annette Benning was awesome as the overbearing athlete who wouldn't stop even to the detriment of her friends.
The swimming sections were excellent as well. They really showed all the problems she could encounter and dealt with them in clever ways.
Since it was based on a true story it made it that much better.
It's a great movie to watch while exercising.
>1. North Of Normal
The most Sarah Gadon screen time by far, she is a main character. The whole movie is filled with lots of extremely cute scenes of her in a variety of scenarios. >2. Ferrari
The least Gadon screen time, but it's a very well made movie and Sarah is very cute and sexy, and she even has a sex scene, and is part of the most iconic moment of the film. >3. Corner Office
Decent amount of Gadon screentime. She is very cute as usual, and her personality is kind of quirky. She has a very classy ballroom dance sequence with Jon Hamm that is the highlight of the movie.
The last in the Diabolik trilogy, went with my mom because she was a big fan of the comics. I didn't like the others much aside from Miriam Leone as Eva Kant, but this one was solid good.
a film called "Horny little black bawd shares roommate"
The Adventures of Poop from my Butt
Starring poop
I don't watch movies with Indians in them.
Dev Patel is English, and a greater actor than you ever will be.

Here's my #1 recommendation, a really remarkable movie that shows everything great about Bollywood.
Thanks, I will definitely check it out. Seems there's a whole world of movies I haven't even begun to delve into.

agree, I enjoyed that a lot as well. Went with my mom as well, which may have been a mistake because she was crying through most of the picture.
She was crying for an anime movie?

I exclusively watch movies from the 80s.
If I want to know what happens in a current one I look for a recap or just read the wiki article.
>I exclusively watch movies from the shittiest era
I exclusively watch movies with Sarah Gadon.

Shin Ultraman, which didn't come out in America until early this year so I'm counting it.
>Shin Godzilla
>Shin Kamen Rider

Even if they're good, this is like the Japanese equivalent of Americans remaking everything.
John Wick 4 was the best movie of 2023.

Some of the sharpest dialogues I've seen in a long time.
It's seriously disappointing how little noise this movie made given how well made it is.
I'm really into gooning to my tasteful nudes taken when I was 12
Incorrect. We got 3 Sarah Gadon movies in 2023.
What were the three Sarah Gadon movies from this year you enjoyed?
>What were the three Sarah Gadon movies from this year you enjoyed?

Can you rank them from best to least best?
