Corner Office, starring Jon Hamm and Sarah Gadon.
The Tutor starring Victoria Justice
I’ll let you know in a few years when I run out of better things to watch.
What was the best thing you watched recently?
I just around to Dark.
blackberry
guardians 3
I don't think I've watched a movie from 2023. The last "new" movie I can even remember watching was The Whale.
Think I've burned out on watching shit the same way I did with video games. Gonna have to start reading books or doing something creative.
I spread them out so I don't burn out. A movie every month is a good pace. But you've gotta make your choices count.
I might have to start doing that. The burnout itself though is more that I've seen everything that might have piqued my interest. Movies, TV shows, cartoons, anime, fricking youtube videos. New isn't exciting because it's like I've seen so much of all this shit that it can only be compared to what I've seen before and bores me.
Being a NEET for 11 years fricks your head up. I need a job.
Puss in Boots
Infinity Pool
Oppenheimer
Talk to Me
The Killer
Inside
MI 7
Extraction 2
The Covenant
M3gan
Killers of the Flower Moon
There are still several others I want to see, mostly foreign movies that take longer to become available.
All in all this was a surprisingly good year for movies
What are some foreign movies you're planning to see? I've been wanting to get into more foreign films but I never hear anyone talk about them so it's hard to know what's worth checking out. And so the only foreign films I end up seeing are whatever old stuff they show on TCM.
Sleep (SK)
Late Night w the Devil
Dogman
Anatomy of a Fall
La Chimera
Perfect Days
Monster
Do Not Expect Too Much of the End of the World
RMN
There's a bunch. Also Poor Things which is a co-production.
To find out interesting foreign alternatives, keep an eye out for the movies that are shown at Cannes, Venice and also Fantasy Filmfest (for horror and other genre movies)
Thanks for the list and also the suggestions. I've heard of Cannes but I didn't know much about the others. I'll definitely look into them more now.
>Do Not Expect Too Much of the End of the World
Absolutely based return of Uwe Boll
You got me excited for nothing, I thought he ran out of money and couldn't make movies anymore. Turns out this is just a cameo in somebody else's movie.
>Infinity Pool
>Oppenheimer
>Talk to Me
>The Killer
>Inside
>MI 7
>Extraction 2
>The Covenant
>M3gan
>Killers of the Flower Moon
Godzilla Minus One was actually good, ignore the schizos.
I thought this show ended ten years ago WTF
Thats what they wanted you to think.
Reptile
Yes that one too, good call
I was surprised by how much I liked this one.
Kept hearing people recommend this but I thought it was the name of a band or something, didn't realize it was a movie.
i just watched the deer hunter. anyone wanna talk about it?
If you liked it there's a movie called Southern Comfort you might enjoy too
That sounds like gay porn. Is it gay porn?
No it's a thriller, it's very good and weirdly underrated

thx anon im kinda looking for something a little lighter rn tho but maybe ill check it out at another time. Any reccs for something current-ish that wont give me seizures from 1 second edits? I heard the openhiemer thing is ok
Oppenheimer is excellent and highly engrossing, also very nuanced. It requires and deserves full attention though; so if you want a movie that's easier to watch I'd say Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning
godzilla minus one
it was also one of 2 movies I watched this year, the other being cocaine bear (it was pretty gay but I had fun hanging out with my friends anyway)
And don't you dare post something like that again.
>have seen and liked
The Killer
The Boy and the Heron
Bottoms
Barbie
Anatomy of a Fall
>excited for
Eileen
Poor Things
The Iron Claw
Dream Scenario
Saltburn
>probably will watch, but not in theaters
Napoleon
Ferrari
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
That came out in 2009.
