This character works as a plot device. He hates organizations and has an interest in Miles because Miles is de facto ostracized from the organization for the crime of his existence. Spiderpunk pillages the tech from the organization and uses it to make his own dimension traveling devices for his own ends. You could even say that his interest in Gwen was secondary because of her proximity to Miles. Spiderpunk would actually make a great villain because of these traits, but that would convolute the story too much. Basically he would be a Joker type villain. All in all a good interesting character inclusion from a narrative standpoint that you are probably seething over on the grounds of appearance alone. At least he has a purpose and a motive unlike bikepreg.

Them making him a villain would actually be kinda cool because he’s actually an alternate version of the original prowler but then the entire movie would be bloated to hell and back considering there’s already like 3 villains in this movie.

I wondered that myself. They introduced an adult black man as a sexual partner for the underaged Gwen just to cuck 15 year old Miles? The cucking wasn’t even used for drama, as Hobie was immediately shown as a friend and ally to Miles. Gwen spreading her legs for another black spider-man cheapens her relationship with miles too, as she obviously has a fetish rather than a real connection. Very odd choices all around

The original punk was started in the 80s by British neonazis/far right, a legitimate revolt against the ZOG status quo. Modern leftoids basically try to usurp the aesthetic and sentiment as a larp despite the fact that their entire identity is based on being an orc of the regime

    Great tune:

He was actually one of the more important Spiders for the story. The better question would be what is up with the hologram Spider-Girl. She does little in this film, but she is part of the band in the end. While Miles has a huge teen crush on Gwen, I have to say, the romance between her and Miles is more of a Chud's projections. The gologram girl will IMO end up the love interest.

btw, here in Eastern Europe, people laughed out loud at his remarks, he is clearly onver-the-top with the gimmick.

I know, but that's her job. Unlike all the others, she has no real connection to Miles at this point like Noir or Peni, nor is dhe fully introduced like the Indian one

IMO, she is set up as the love interest.

They spent a lot of this movie building up miles and gwen, it would be really stupid to hamfist another girl as the love interest for miles who he has barely met.

Id argue the spider death cult is right IF Miguel is correct. Imagine saving one random person and the entire universe blows up. And let’s not kid ourselves, people were busting a nut over Peter’s suffering in No Way Home because “spider man needs death in his life” they were very clearly making a commentary on people’s warped views on spider man needing tragic deaths constantly.

It is an action adventure film for the whole family. I love it, great film, but let's not pretend we all know exactly how it ends. Either on a bittersweet note with Miles sacrificing himself (either literally or just being a Spider-Man) or Spider-Man 2099 in the dramatic final clash with Miles realizes he is in the wrong and joins the band and together fix everything and defeat spot. O'Hara probably dies heroically.
