idk i was asleep
People didnt walk out on the "yo momma" joke?
It was all downhill from there
For me it was the opening scrawl. I remember reading something along the lines of "all the rebels in the entire galaxy except this one ship have been eliminated and now they're being chased" and just immediately knowing the movie was going to be a special kind of shit.
The opening made me feel like I was watching a marvel movie, it really set my expectations for the rest of the movie
Confusion. I think they thought they were going to kill her off though so that would have made sense. Keeping her alive added even more to the clusterfrick
Laughter
I felt a great disturbance in the theater, as if dozens of voices suddenly laughed out of confusion and were suddenly cringing.
Me and my friend turned and looked at each other like "what the frick" and laughed
What were they thinking when they made this scene?
I had seen the leak here the night or so before it premiered so when the scene happened at my showing I laughed my ass off and I heard a couple people not far off giggling as well.
I heard “that’s bullshit”
I wished those movies were good so i could no longer read Star Wars discourse on Internet. But that scene (and the one with Rey's knife and the crashed ship),they immediately made me think "oh frick, there's never going to stop riling on those scenes". I'm pretty forgiving as a moviegoer but those scenes struck me as the kind of scenes fricking nerd never shut the frick about. And unfortunately ,i was right (and i'm probably not the only one who saw it coming of course)
Laugh when she did superman.
>wat

How the frick should I know, I don't collect Lego and I don't watch 2hr long Lego adverts.
loud laughter like we were in a comedy movie
Standing ovation
I laughed.
Heavy laughter. I was honestly blown away that I was living in real life. The absurdity of that scene appearing in what is supposed to be a real movie can only be describe as dreamlike. It was the most bizarre shit I've ever seen a movie do in a cinema.
I was at the El Capitan opening night. It was weirdly silent from when she got blasted into space because everyone was expecting a good sendoff for Leia since Carrie Fisher had died. I remember scattered scoffing and laughter and when we found out Leia was still alive after that I remember hearing a guy go "what?" And feeling the same
To follow up, I had gone with some of my boomer coworkers who had described to me what it was like going to the prequel films and how he went to the second showing of the night and he could tell it was going to be shit because everybody coming out of the theater had these despondent looks on their faces. I remember looking around at everybody's faces when everybody stood up to leave and half of them looked disappointed and the other half were already talking shit
>what the frick
>oh come on!
>what?
>huh?
Uncontrollable laughter, until I got told to shut up.
those sounds of disapointment people do, like "tsshh"
I laughed, but I was the only one who laughed. No one seemed to have much of a reaction at all.
