In pre-T&E, stuff like Aqua Teen/12 oz Mouse/Metalocalypse/Perfect Hair Forever/Squidbillies/Sealab/Space Ghost ruled the roost, but as soon as goddamn Awesome Show became a hit, [as] realized that they could spend a fraction of the money, and have just as large an audience, if not larger, by doing a bunch of low-effort "lol so randumb" live-action bullshit. If for no other reason, I'm thankful to Rick and Morty for sort of bringing that era to an end.
