Man, I don't think that's true. Denise is an old-school troony from the time before modern troonsanity started degrading society. He took his licks and probably just wants to live a normal life. He is also employed and pretty good at his job, which the troons who are the problem cannot claim.

Its pretty likely Lynch really believes in this stuff. Guys been in Hollywood for decades. Denise is absolutely made fun of pretty consistently in the 1st two seasons but Cooper, being the moral stand-in for the show, always treats him with respect. Denise's character is shown to be absolutely normal outside of the wig/dress which sadly couldn't be further from reality.
