not a surprise given hollywoods black fetish. Still when I first saw It I hoped he would be some kind of interesting major character like Han Solo and he ended up being just diversity decoration.

    >the new republic, instead of sending their entire army to stop them, sends the small “resistance” (who the frick are they resisting? the republic has more authority than the first order)
i dont have sufficient words to describe how moronic the premise of the sequel trilogy is

it's written by women, what do you expect?

and also, it's not just moronic but purposefully written this way because commies always have to be the 'fringe' fighting the 'center'. Without that dynamic their whole bullshit falls apart. So even when they have control of the mainstream, they still have to be the fringe. It's a metaphor, it's like poetry it rhymes.

It's Authentic JJ mystery boxes that go nowhere and poor understanding of the scale of star systems. They were so terrified of the specter of senate scenes they don't establish what worlds got blown up.

      Yes, and?
Do you really think they put blacks in movies for the sake of black people? Do you really think black shilling has anything to do with making blacks feel represented, and not with getting twatteroids who live and breathe race and gender politics to drive up the engagement?
      How thick-headed are you?

If you think Boyega being black is the biggest problem here, then perhaps you deserve being shat on by Yidsney.

      Anonymous

The problem is not that he is black. Samuel L Jackson and Billy Dee Williams were blacks, and perfectly fine. Boyega, in the other hand, is a Black person.

No, they would find a tall giga homie and then place him in the suit.

    >Wait what? Actually, I don't know enough about star wars lore to refute this. They probably aren't clones of Boba Fett anymore so there's no issue. Cinemaphile's going to bend over backwards trying to find reasons why this is wrong though

Pic related and I thought to myself that it will be complete shit. And it was, then the Last Jedi was even more shit and I never bothered to watch anything Star Wars after that

In hindsight it really should have been a sign of how things were going to turn out when the first thing audiences saw of a new Star Wars trilogy, the first major feature films since 2005 in one of the largest, most beloved, and most successful media franchises ever made, was a sweat gorilla Black person jump scare.

      Anonymous

hindsight isn't required for that. The second I saw this gorilla pop on screen I knew instantly that it was over.
