They did. They had that horrid live action thing where Vicky fricks Mr. Crocker. They've long since used up their faith and good will from fans and it would take decades for the radioactivity of this shit to pass its half-life. It's mind boggling because its really not that hard of a cartoon to reboot and get right: Just trim the cast down to season 2 numbers and that is most of the problems of the original show solved anyway.
