We only got 5 of them and personaly I liked them but I really dislike the animation. IT was never good but I like how they made use of stills an were able to reuse the same backgrounds.
Now every character is always moving and they are using weird angles on some scenes.
I'm sure it was a money thing but I don't understand how it could possibly be cheaper to animate them this way instead of the old way. It just looks wrong and uncanny.
I love it. I can finally watch the show without feeling like I could animate it better in an afternoon. So much of the old show felt like they had storyboards with a lot more shit happening and then they butchered it to save money. Just watch the birthday snake episode from season 2, they couldn't even animate a snake opening its mouth. I like janky, purposely shitty animation (Xavier, 12 oz mouse), but the animation in ATHF was not charming, it was lazy.
I didn’t have any full on laugh out loud moments, but the show is just as good as it was when it first changed names. I’m happy it’s back for the voice of frylock so he can get paid again.

I wouldn't really call it stoner humor. Most of it is primarily characters getting into stupid shit that just snowballs into further stupid shit due to their incompetence and sociopathy. There was a whole episode where two characters are outright put on trial for forest pollution...by the trees themselves. And it basically becomes a back and forth of a dude trying to keep his friends killed by a bunch of bloodthirsty stupid trees and his even stupider friends digging themselves further and further into a hole.
I wouldn't say that, but then I don't know your tastes. I don't consider it like Family Guy since it doesn't linger on dead jokes, which is helped that it only runs half the length of Family Guy and thus gets to the damn point faster. It outright destroys props with stock explosions just to emphasize they've served their purpose for their gag and it's time to move on.

It can be hit or miss but when an episode hits, it's incredible. The sheer quality of the writing, especially in the earlier seasons, is absurd.

It's incredibly clever in how stupid it is, and the VA work is so good you can't zone out with it.
It helps that Carl and Shake are the impulsive kind of stupid so every bad thing that ever happens to them is likely what they deserve

Benjamin is really hit or miss when it comes to improvisation. His Archer con stuff is totally Reddit, but this is fantastic.
