Daisy is legitimately cute normally, but the movies insisted on turning her into a grey block of concrete that had no charisma or draw. Like, there's maybe a minute at the beginning of her first movie where she meets Black personman and they're running from Stormtroopers and she yells at him for like, trying to grab her or something, and it felt like they might legitimately be building a spunky tomboy character which could have been fine.
But after that she just became this blob of whatever the story needed her to be, none of which was compelling or attractive or whatever. Like, I get that she's not gonna be a makedup-caked sexdoll like Natalie Portman was or Leia was, but the problem is those characters were written to be women and Rey was written to be a block of grey featureless goo.

Seriously, they went BACKWARDS from the prequels in terms of director's egos getting in the way of making coherent content. Like, they literally made movies with the goal of not making the same mistakes as the prequels and then made the same mistakes only worse.
The problem with a new trilogy of Rey movies is that, even if they're really good, any plot they could possibly give her about being the next generation of Jedi or whatever is what they should've given to Luke, so it's going to feel stupid and insulting by default.
