it wasn't the pokemon black rom
Also, please no shitposting. Cory in the House is a dead meme
I want discussion about the actual show
anime fans moved on
Disney Channel went to total garbage with the turn of the Millennium. It went from an all-family network that showed a great variety of programming where you could watch Winnie the Pooh and MLP one minute and Gremlins the next. It even had artistic programs like Mouseterpiece Theater.
Then fricking Zoog Disney heralded in the age of shitty tween sitcoms
Not to mention while they still had cartoons, usually only one at a time was given almost as much attention as their sitcoms. For the early 2000s, it was Kim Possible, which was supposed to end after 65 episodes, but ended up getting one final season of 22 more episodes and then after it ended, Phineas and Ferb took its spot as the cartoon on Disney Channel
Disney XD was kino
used to get off work in 2001, come home, burn one, watch recess, smart guy & even stevens and then plow my gf when she got home at 5. as her parents didnt get home until 7. I'm now 38 on Cinemaphile
Zoog Disney was the shit.
If I remember correctly, Disney wanted to get into the music industry and they did so with teen shows in a weird indoctrination scheme.
>Omba Makomba
memory unlocked
That Alice in Wonderland show was fun
Tron tv show was peak tv, it was so good that it easily would've succeeded on CN. Its basically Batman Beyond meets Star Wars Legacy's main villains
Is there anyone here who actually watched the show?
Yes for a few episodes as a kid then turned off the dog shit. Drake and Josh was better
Does anyone remember any episodes?
Anime became mainstream
That joke is dead
Besides, Wizards of Waverly Place came out later that same year and was really popular
Did the Clinton's kill Cory's mom?
Does anyone remember the episode where Cory and friends are really excited to meet President Obama, but they obviously couldn't get the real president to show up for a kiddy show, so they got some dude in literal black clayface (I mean they're probably a legit black guy, but still) in order to desperately look half-way like Obama.
I'm legitimately surprised I can't find it, on youtube. Did they scrub it?
I remember them hiring an obama impersonator to appear as president obama on WWE, turns out the actor they hired also did gay porn. shit was funny.
There is probably way more overlap between pro wrestling and gay porn than anyone wants to admit.
Obama wasnt pres during the shows run.
We'rent his house
That was years after the show got cancelled. I'm asking why the show wasn't successful like the other sitcoms of that time
Because it wasn’t very good. Did you ever watch it? Sitcoms were already declining in popularity as well.
Cory came out in 2007 and Hannah Montana was probably at the peak of it's popularity in 2007. It was huge that year
The premise of this show was interesting but the writers only cared about getting Obama elected
Raven never saw this coming...
officially in charge of having some fun
>Role Playing Chat Room
House of Hansen
Why is this thread having a lot of shitposting in it? I made this thread because I wanted to know what went wrong with this show
It was forgettable and not funny at all, but I'm of the opinion most live-action kid shows are.
He's a busta.
How did this guy avoid jail?
He's a smart guy
for you
He looks exactly like someone thatll grow up to be a diddler though. Too small, soft and gay as a child, plus exposure to other actors.
is that my homie spottemgottem?
Why is there hardly any actual discussion of this show?
does anyone remember Clay Obama?
Is it just me?
It had none of the charm of That So Raven. Newt was obnoxiously moronic and they had an annoying little kid character. She's pretty hot now tbqh but the shows long dead. I wonder how Raven's Home explains half her family going missing.
I've seen adults who genuinely still enjoy Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place and good luck Charlie, yet nobody seems to unironically like Cory in the House for some reason
Because he's black
Raven was black and her show was very popular
Darkies
The Suit Life of Zack and Cody was the only good one, yeah even the cruise sequel.
Lizzie hannah raven and zack and cody were good and still are.
Wizards of waverly place is overrated and I say this being huge fan of Selena gomez.
I dunno about good luck Charlie.
Anyway Victorious is better than all of those
>I dunno about good luck Charlie
Mia Talerico=EROTIC
Holy shit, she just turned 15. And posts pics on her insta making out with her boyfriend
The white phosphorus arc was a bit too much
Stop shitposting
The existence of this show not even any moments nor the irony/memes surrounding it but the existence and idea of it makes me laugh uncontrollably and I have no clue why
Why is it hard to talk about this show without it going into shitposting?
Anyone?
not enough raven cameos
Nothing. Pure kino
>be cory
>mfw im in the house
Why is there barely any discussion?
His party lost control of both chambers by the midterm after Cory's first sex scandal, and then after he was somehow re-elected thanks to gaming the electoral college (despite his record loss of the popular vote by several million), he was a lame duck for the entirety of his second term and more focused on blatant hedonism than any kind of policymaking or governance
He became too powerful for an anime protagonist
Enough with that stale joke that wasn't even funny to begin with
>let’s make a spin-off of the future seeing girl’s little brother
>oh he doesn’t really have anything that makes him special
>uhh.. make him interact with a generic tv president I guess IDK
There was 0 thought put into this show.
They didn't even just write him accidentally inheriting psychic powers too like if you're going to go down the spin off route, at least give viewers something.
I'm not gonna lie, The Famous Jett Jackson was a better show with a black main protagonist and yet, nobody remembers that show, because it came out before Lizzie McGuire and that is the oldest sitcom people remember from Disney Channel
He was a tar baby.
Explain.
Wasn't there a Disney live action sitcom that was a science-fiction show?
Phil of the Future with one Michalka. And a tsundere imouto, great trend
Michalka, what an angel.
He rap pretty good doe
?si=asStSPrli_RJY3yi
>that episode where Cory lied about being a bull rider
>that episode where Cory competed in a Dance Dance Revolution ripoff game against the champion
>that episode where Cory lied about being a luchador wrestler and then faced off against the champion
This show made me want to be bullied by a cute octaroon e-girl.
e-girldom=HEAVEN
CORY GOT A BONE HAAAND
Did Cory actually groom that kid like he's accused of?
Why is it so hard to discuss this show?
because nobody here actually watched it moron. we're only amused the "idea" of cory in the house.
"Cory" was a shwoogie
So it's kinda like Morbius where the meme is more entertaining than the media itself?
I watched it. It sucked. The parents are literally morons
I thought some people watched it and then didn't care for it and the show got cancelled as a result?
He's a jigaboo.
>mfw the pornhub video of the old 90s vhs that inexplicably at the 45 minute mark cuts to the Cory in the House theme song and then resumes back to the lady getting railed has been scrubbed from the internet
>the working title was "House Cory"
Was Lizzie McGuire the reason why Disney Channel favored sitcoms over cartoons? I know later shows would become even more popular than Lizzie, but Lizzie McGuire was the one that started it all it seems
It was Disney wanting to enter the music industry.
>Drake and Josh
>Zack and Cody
>Wizards of Waverly Place
>Phineas and Ferb
>SpongeBob
>My Life As A Teenage Robot
Honestly I think it was just badly timed. At the time kids shows were all kino so it never had a chance. Today it would eat crap like Loud House alive.
Teenage Robot ended production before Cory came out. The only reason it "lasted until 2009" is because Nick waited so long to air the last season and then aired it on Nicktoons Network
Yeah I forgot about that. I still watched reruns of that show over this as a kid though.
Ned's Declassified was the best of these live action sitcoms. I dare you to fight me on this
Ned was a b***h ass
Nobody doubts that, but it was still best of these shows (after drake and josh).
>mfw Moze was fricking all her cast mates
Apparently it was cancelled due to
the Writers Strike in 2008 and Maiara Walsh who played Meena was apparently going to be Sonny in Sonny with a Chance when it was still beneath the working title Welcome to Molly/Molliwood then Welcome to Holly/Holliwood.
He's Corey in the big house now
Anybody remember Out of Jimmy's Head? It was one of the few kids/tween sitcoms that weren't on Nick or Disney
you can finally rewatch it if you want anon, it was lost media until like last year
IM THE NEW KID MOVIN IN
He left the house
Anyone?
It was a shitty spin off of That's So Raven which was already a stale repetitive show by the end, the Cory kid wasn't cute anymore and the other cast had no pull either. The foreign girl was insanely hot but that alone doesn't carry a sitcom.
no Sinbad.
I wonder why
I liked the episode where George Tekai appeared
Wrong board
It's not an anime
Was the DS game any good or was it just shovelware?
There's a moment in the game where there is a black model that Cory is talking to but on the upper half of the DS it shows Cory talking to a white guy. I forgot the reviewer's name but I remember just being amazed at how terrible a lot of the Disney DS games were. So yeah bad shovelware
Funny how this show would not be made if Drumpf or Biden were in office
Why?
The problem compared to That So Raven is that a lot of the plots revolved around Cory either trying to make a quick buck or lying abput something he isn't good at. That So Raven was repetitive too but it didn't feel like it because of how Raven responded to each vision. Why would I want to watch the spin off show with her brother if he's just going to try and pull another schene like the last 20 episodes and fail again.
Also the characters were terrible. Anyone else remember the roid rage joke guy naned Juice because he like juiced a fricking phone or something.
I didn’t remember amina having bright blue eyes. I guess she’s not an Arab.
Found a dvd of a special in a thrift store the other day. Disney made more sitcoms than nick but nicks were bigger succeses
I remember a skeleton scene from this show
This it?
Yes
What even is tge context to this. It feels like a fever dream
This show is literally the reason Obama got elected. Why don't more people talk about this?
It was cliche
Anyone?
looking back, I respect that they made his love interest a pajeet instead of a white girl. I think they had some little self awareness back then.
>jackass doesn't know what an Indian looks like
There was this one Cory in the House YT poop that my brother and I watched a lot in like 2009 and it had us rolling on the floor.
