This movie was what made me lose all my faith in Snyder. I supported the snyder cut on all social networks, but in the end, he has ruined DC and mosf of his movies are average or bad. Only 300 and Watchmen are good and they are 2 decades old
Those were talked about quite a bit.
They're even being talked about in threads they have nothing to do with like this one.
But almost nobody talks about Rebel Moon.

Because they were "frick your childhood" bad, that's why. Taking about them is therapeutic.

>Obi Wan is bad because there's a black woman on it
Literally white male genocide

She was ugly and a bad actress and they threw accusations of racism in my face before I even watched the first fricking episode. So... all in all, not a winner for me.

Maybe because chuds were doing racist jokes before the first episode.
>Empires lead admiral flies the flagship to some farming moon >Probably burns an entire planet worth of resources just to get there >Guy in SS uniform steps off >Hey we need like 3 days worth of grain >No >Kill one random guy, station 6 guys on the planet which is like 90% of the flagship crew >They get killed by the villagers >Grain or dead soldiers is never brought up again
it should've been a ~10 episode series
there's like 4 or 5 movie length stories in it to tell and none of them succeed because they're all talking over each other
It's acknowledged that Star Wars inspired this flick. The biggest differences being that Star Wars was not only more original, but had more of a plot than recruiting fighters, more interesting characters, left the viewer with a sense of wonder, and teased intriguing details of the world it was building. Rebel Moon failed to do any of that. It tossed in unanswered questions about a princess with powers and the MC background, but they're both snooze inducing. Snyder did his best, and it's below average crap.
Rebel Moon is just a bunch of stuff you've seen before and not presented in an interesting way. You've seen Star Wars, you've seen Dune, fricking hell you've seen Chronicles of Riddick, you know Warhammer 40K shit even, and that's all Rebel Moon is, flavours of previous properties done pretty much the same way. He introduces no unique flair or twist. But he's so absolutely genuinely sincere about it because he has the brain of a 17 year old boy, and he really loves his cast of super original cool characters who will do cool shit for a few cool minutes each, and then sit there while Sofia Boutella is stoic and angry and maybe emotional for a bit. Done. Meanwhile surface level worldbuilding gets messily thrown around that's made to seem big and epic and original.
He's already set up far too large a story, even over two movies. Crammed with too much detail. Too much flying around and zipping around the universe. Dial it back, establish a small scale setting into which large details intrude. Take a simple, tried and true formula plot, a Seven Samurai kind of deal, you can tweak. Maybe something happens to up the stakes for the second film and the heroes find themselves overwhelmed just as they thought they were able to get the upper hand and it becomes personal for Sofia Boutella. Really, it's simple.
I can never hate Snyder because he's so enthusiastic, but this was really bland, which is a shame because he can and has done better.

I still like the Snyder Cut but yeah, he's a complete hack.
Could you use a different picture the next time you start this thread, you lazy wienersucker?
>that moron who fell for a painfully obvious shill post
Nothing.
Filtered.
What do you mean wrong?
Why is it bad instead of good?
Do you mean Ahsoka "bad"? It's not that bad.
It's pretty bad.
But maybe I've made a mistake in asking about its quality.
Why is it not more talked about?
But is it Ahsoka bad? Kenobi?

Surely the 4 hour long Snyder cut will fix it
>what went wrong
Disney ruined Star Wars and now Netflix is stealing it from them.
It's crazy how all of Snyders movies are basically masterpieces until the made the move to Netflix.
God the lead is so fricking ugly.
They forgot to make a good movie.
unoriginal
derivative
>A Zack Snyder film
>Story by Zack Snyder
>Screenplay by Zack Snyder
>Directed by Zack Snyder
Kino.
But he didn't write the screenplay.

Bravo Snyder
Nice headcanon.
Nothing, This is Dune but done right and antisnyder weirdos tend to be fanatic in their hate towards anything he does
Such an odd video gamey aesthetic this has. Like it's trying to be Star Wars but ends up looking like some weird Chinese mobile game.

Not enough sexual violence in this star wars movie, hopefully the 4 hour cur includes more
not enough sweaty pits
