the first few episodes aren't even funny anymore if you try to rewatch it, the jokes are too 2013 or whatever year it was that it came out, they had a myspace joke on the first episode.
I think as it went on it did get a little funnier but. it was never hilarious it just was what it was.
I used to watch their gaming channel but that sucks now all the original members of team4star dont stream on their gaming channel anymore is just a bunch of randoms. They used to have this little game show that they would do that was really fun to watch on twitch but now they just stream lame ass games on the channel and its some lame ass random dudes that nobody knows.
its sad dude, i miss kieran grant lani and scott playing dbz games together.
I think it started in 2008. I still rewatch it every few years because it's easier to get my DBZ fix than re-watching the anime itself. The first time I binged it in a weekend I found it a lot funnier, they tend to reference previous jokes, but if you're just watching as they release they could be a year or two apart, you won't recall shit.
I think the Cell finale though, first post got it, there were jokes but it definitely felt like they were giving it a serious rewrite and the jokes were there because they had to be. Frieza saga into Android saga is still pretty top tier, and some early Cell.
I would recommend checking out Kai. Or at least parts or arcs you are interested in. I am watching the regular DBZ all the way through and been enjoying it. But I'll probably do Kai for a whole watch .. basically regular DBZ is 291 episodes and Kai is like 120 for the whole series.
If your are going to do kai try and find a source with the new sound track. They have almost scrubbed it from existence after the composer got caught plagiarizing but it is top tier kino.
>the jokes are too 2013 or whatever year it was that it came out, they had a myspace joke on the first episode.
Bruh MySpace was dead as of 2007. Even before facebook came, MySpace was old news. If you heard a myspace joke then it was referencing that it's old and out of vogue just like the same jokes are still being made today.
It's strange they even considered season 4, because entire Goku's speech has been repurposed as a meta thing, it contains the sentence: >"I can't await to see what you all create"
TFS felt like they'd outgrown DBZ Abridged and misjudged it as DBZ Abridged was the only reason anybody watched them to begin with.
Most of their other shit tanks while they have to keep making DBZ stuff to keep them somewhat relevant and this makes them seethe
Whatever happened to this gay? I hate him for making funny stuff, peaking in 2012, and then deciding to stop and die on the vine for literally no reason.
Becoming a fandub, KaiserNeko not being wrangled, and the bizzare idea that they could become legitimate after(but also still) selling bootleg merch. That said I still keep up with HFIL, so I guess I'm just a sucker for DBZ characters acting silly.
I hate the people that fanboy for DBZ abridged. Like the writing in abridged is so much worse because at least all the characters get along and have respect for one another in the show. Krillen and Yamcha aren't useless. They are always good friends there to help out. Goku isn't a complete moron is often just depicted as a little dumb for cheap laughs.
A big reason for me is that they went from uploading an episode a month with very crude voice over and editing to a professionally made, effectively fandub that didn't play around with the character personalities enough like season 2 to become a product different than the original, and near the end the episodes were being released at a rate of 3-5 per year. Their political leanings also started to make their way into the series and all of a sudden you had side plots about gay weddings and half of the jokes were about how they weren't racists.
It's even older than TFS and updates frequently. It followed a similar trend in that the creator tried to end it circa 2009 and branch into different forms of entertainment but every other project of his failed because the fans wanted more dbz content and he reluctantly keeps it going. Unfortunately the co-creator and voice of half of the characters left after it "ended" 14 years ago and it has been missing his style of humor and several key characters like Vegeta, Krillin and Piccolo ever since.
Normal words but a horse guy-man unbound filtering them but more than anything.. the copyright system. Them being on YouTube fucked them over hard since y’know.. Toei is mad and shit. I was gonna say why don’t they just post the abridged episodes on pattern or gum road or whatever but then I asked my self, “Would this even be legal since it’s a parody?” Also even if they don’t wanna cover the buu saga they could always just do some of the movies like BOG, Fusion Reborn, Broly 2, Road to dragon, or resurrection F. It’s not like people who weren’t fans of the OG series would watch this anyway so you can’t even make the excuse of “ohhh but how do you explain THISSS?!”
it became fan fiction instead of parody

Gotta agree with that, can't even find good videos on YouTube

Not that I disagree with your main points
It was giga numale cringe from the start.
The series peaked with the Ginyu Force. Also I'm pretty sure Kaiser is the reason why the ultimately went to shit.
It's strange they even considered season 4, because entire Goku's speech has been repurposed as a meta thing, it contains the sentence:
>"I can't await to see what you all create"
It became Kaiserneko's homosexual fan fiction.
Fags
They got stuck far up their assholes. They bought their own hype. The Cell arc in some of the most reddit content online ever.
It was fine
>starts like a genuine parody
>quickly becomes an attempt at a "serious" fan dub while still trying to keep reddit humor going
There.
>gokoo
The fans not allowing it to have any flaws of any kind and getting upset whenever anyone points anything out.
TFS felt like they'd outgrown DBZ Abridged and misjudged it as DBZ Abridged was the only reason anybody watched them to begin with.

I highly doubt that something went wrong. They just realised they get more money with general shit like lets plays etc
WeeklyTubeShow2 incels Rise Up

He voices Kami in DBZ Abridged and literally does the same joke https://youtu.be/fH3X2U9t2P0?t=865
Is the Saiyaman Saga Was Sick patreon stuff mirrored anywhere?
It was fun. I tried picking up the orignal series after the cell saga but it was just too hard to get through.

The fact that KaiserNeko tried to fix "mistakes" in the show. Fuck off dude, you're making glorified youtube poops.

>the joke is gay sex
>the joke is gay sex
>the joke is gay sex
>the joke is... wait for it... GAY SEX
Hard to say, really.
Gays are disgusting ofc now people have gay fatigue
>you will never see Dende and Videl fighting over Gohan
shame
Thoughts on the Hispanic dbz counterpart?

Dub of the North Star > any other abridge
Wrong?
They made the hilarious assumption that people cared about anything they were putting out besides the DBZ parody.
