No, EAH was created because Disney pulled the princess license from Mattel, but when EAH started to gain traction, Disney showed up with basically the same thing but live action (I forgot the name of the show, but all the main characters were the kids of Disney villains or some shit) and EAH got eclipsed by that and MH.
I'm pretty sure the problem was Disney practically owned the definitive version of those fairy tales and the made audience would have been Disney Channel but they did not the IP.
>>Doll Lines like Legacy Day, Thronecoming, Hat-tastic Tea Party and Getting Fairest for example were released and featured characters with specific looks who didn't get dolls (IE: HTP: Maddie, Lizzie, Kitty, Raven, Dexter and Daring, Getting Fairest: Kitty, Cupid, Blondie, Cedar and Cerise, Legacy Day and Thronecoming: Damn Near Everyone!) in the webisodes
within Webisode Release (sometimes it seems like Particular Characters like Lizzie and Kitty got their specific webisodes because their doll releases were underway)
Differences between the Nickelodeon airings and YouTube Webisodes
>>The downward spiraling quality within the first doll releases and then the overall ball dropping within Late 2015 and all of 2016.
You can come across them here and there but the release is spotty and bought up quick by scalpers, I’ve seen them mostly at Target but I did recently come across one from Walmart, you can find most of them on Amazon. MGA is mostly aiming at the older crowds, mostly for nostalgia and collectors, they’re doing some celebrity collabs right now with one of the Kardashians
Mattel tried to have its cake and eat it too. They had the Disney Princess dolls, yet they go ahead and make up their own fairytale IP to release their own princesses for, all the while reduced the quality of the Disney Princess dolls. Which ultimately ended with Hasbro getting the Disney Princess dolls, Disney also releasing Descendants, the quality going down the drain for EAH, MH and Barbie, putting EAH in the grave, MH into Limbo and Barbie into Low Quality Hell for years (it still is low quality but competition from MGA had forced them to improve at least a little)
What they said. Mattel shot themselves in the foot and retooled EAH and Monster High, pulling the rug out of the momentum they spent the previous years building while with quality of the dolls and cartoons dropped. Still mad that the crossover movie was never finished.

Never lived up to its potential. The free will vs. destiny plot and the way characters try to either uphold (Apple), deny (Raven) or subvert it (Duchess) was interesting but it was held back by being a toddler show and having to revamp the premise after Mattel was spooked by the Disney thing.
its a cartoon for little girls made to sell dolls
what could possibly go RIGHT?
>what could possibly go RIGHT?
uh... monster high?
having a somewhat decent narrative meant people were more interested in the story than the product.
Disney released it's own toyline of fairy tail princess dolls as I understand. That had bigger brand name.

EAH existed before Disney pulled the Princesses from Mattel
I know for a fact that EAH and Mattel losing the princess licenses are directly related.

Need I go on?
Was that around the time the Barbie line went straight into the trash or was it earlier for them because they were focusing on EAH and MH?
Not loose enough
What's MGA doing with Bratz anyway? I heard there was a relaunch but I never see them in stores.
They're in that one store no one goes to, Target
They're at Walmart too
MGA is too busy pumping out 20 new Rainbow High dolls a month to worry about Bratz

They did a Paris Hilton doll for Rainbow High and even had her voice herself in the cartoon.
The Barbie parody song from Rainbow High season 2 is a legit bop.
Hey I remember binge watching this throughout lockdown
Fricked the episodes and went away from the fairytale shit ppl actually liked to the generic girlpower every other female dominated show went.
That's why I lost interest as a person who was technically the target audience along with my younger sister.
She doesn't even like the new Monster High.
>girlpowah lol lmao
When are they gonna learn that this never works?

If they really went about an EAH-x-MH crossover movie, I can see the EAH characters in the 3D animation Regal Academy was produced in.
Regal Academy deserves more attention.
Regal Academy was officially cancelled a while ago
I know, it just gets overshadowed despite being pretty good.

The novels are better than the cartoon.
Isn't Raven technically Apple's aunt?

Ever after high is stupid what's the point of being a villain if you're destined to lose?
Job security.
Because as far as they knew they'd die if they didn't do what they're supposed to.
