Besides the fact that it was shit that checked every obnoxious woke box, they vastly overestimated the popularity of the original Willow which is widely considered a fairly mediocre movie and stars a guy who is best known for a bit part in Harry Potter.
The audience is old because it didn't stand the test of time the way stuff like the princess bride and labyrinth did, those are real cult classics while Willow is largely forgotten and never had a devoted fanbase despite being a modest success when it originally released. Just shows how out of touch the people who greenlight disney crap are.

She's actually a redhead with dyed hair. She may honestly be the only example of a white redhead who wasn't race swapped for a modern sequel. At least, I can't think of any others.
>Having her wear a lot less would have been the easiest way to fix it, for sure.
Elora as a casual nudist and no other real explanation. She just stays naked the whole time.
I will forever remember this as the medieval fantasy show where a prince uttered the phrase" hey girl, where you at?". Also, random lesbian lumberjacks wearing denim.
Disney tried to over capitalise on the Lucas deal with something non-Star Wars when there wasn't any demand for it. Also no effort to promote it when they realised that.
Generic Covid production issues too probably. But hey guys still got paid and the money wasn't going to launder itself.
Un ironically Warwick.
Putting the meme hate that Cinemaphile has for him aside for a second, his performance in this was just awful.
I watched the original movie again before being subjected to the series and young him actually had an ounce of passion to his lines.
In the series you can see him in real time just phoning it in. There's a bit in his home village where he's telling jokes and it just sounds like he's reading the words off a page.
Everything from the writing, casting, lighting was just awful. But Warwick was the biggest disappointment. Playing the part of the returning titular character I would have thought he would have been the one most eager to see it succeed, but it was just shit.
I'm glad it's dead and never coming back. Shame on Disney for shitting it out.
Fun fact is Disney erased this series from the streaming service after only 6 months (it was THAT bad) and after spending more than 100 millions on it.
I'll never know because I refuse to watch it
this, but from the looks theres a midge that really wants a beatdown
>What went wrong?
It was pretentious garbage, shameless toilet trash
I mean, the les and bi shit wasn't really worse than what other shows were doing.
Too many non-whites, gay shit, strong independent female characters.
>Too many non-whites,
Again, have you seen the state of tv and streaming lately?
no
i just won't watch any of that shit

Probably more than the audience was too old.
Zoomers don't remember that it was the last decent medieval fantasy movie before Lord of the Rings (I still don't understand Fellowship's popularity)

Opinion discarded.
Don't samegay
Reminder all nu willow is homosexual shit
Let me put it another way, Why have other shows gotten away with the woke shit much more?
they didn't sexualize the blonde enough

Not enough nudity.
Diversity wokeshit is bad. Diversity wokeshit in a fantasy setting is extra double bad.
It was made
Overreliance on IP without accounting for the fundamentals of storytelling.

Too many things to list, but the zoomer-speak dialogue was especially immersion breaking for me and likely for most viewers.
Kit was my favorite character. She's played by Ruby Cruz, and I've been a fan of her since her first acting role in Castle Rock with Sarah Gadon.
For me it's Sarah Gadon.
Sweetest angel Sarah Gadon
Sarah Gadon? I want to kiss her....
Sarah Gadon must be worshipped and adored.
>Sarah Gadon must be worshipped and adored.
This.

Agreed.
