Nah, woke is turning Miles into a magical Black that is better than everyone and he's the one and only most unique spiderman in the multiverse

Yes, I remember him tricking the Spider-People into chasing him, but then him accidentally getting trapped in another dimension and needing the people he dismissed to come save his ass.
I know you expect black people to just be incompetent baffoons but Miles being good at some things doesn't negate his mistakes.

                >needing the people he dismissed to come save his ass.
Save his ass from what? ProwlerMiles is a good natured vigilante and won't hurt a hair on Miles' head, the two of them will probably end up clowning on Miggy and the rest. Meanwhile you conveniently ignored the fact Miles:
                >is the sole "anomaly" whatever the frick that means and the special status it awards him (that the villain pretends is negative like the fricking Emoji Movie) even though tons of them should be anomalies (like the literal clone, the woman who wasn't even bitten, etc)
                >can outrun, outpunch, outsmart, and outmaneuver 10000 experienced Spider-Men chasing him just a year into his Spider-Man tenure
                >can solve every single situation with his invisibility and venom blast
                >is the only Spider-Man in the multiverse to figure out canon events are bullshit, call Miguel out, and try to save everyone, in the span of 2 minutes while everyone else had years
                >lectures every other Spider-Man on morals and responsibility
                >is the only Spider-Man in the multiverse that can save Gwen Stacy who is head over heels for him after knowing him for two days
                >motivated Peter to get back with MJ and have Mayday by simply existing around him and has Peter suck him off for it
He didn't even make a mistake with the go-home machine, he just didn't know it sends you to the universe of your spider and not your own universe. You have to be intentionally oblivious not to notice the race worship.

You pulled this straight from your ass

                >is the sole "anomaly" whatever the frick that means and the special status it awards him (that the villain pretends is negative like the fricking Emoji Movie) even though tons of them should be anomalies (like the literal clone, the woman who wasn't even bitten, etc)
Wow anon, it looks like you accidently learned the point of the movie!

                >>can outrun, outpunch, outsmart, and outmaneuver 10000 experienced Spider-Men chasing him just a year into his Spider-Man tenure
They all for the most part have the same power set, and don't want to hurt each other, so what's your point with this. If it was a young Peter running away from the Spider Soceiety the same shit would happen.

                >is the only Spider-Man in the multiverse to figure out canon events are bullshit
No he's not, and he's against the idea of them preventing him to even try to save his dad, not for canon events in general.

                >lectures every other Spider-Man on morals and responsibility
Miguel says the same thing to Miles abour being selfish potentially dooming his universe like he himself did. The movie never presents him as being wrong for feeling this way since we saw what happened.

                >is the only Spider-Man in the multiverse that can save Gwen Stacy
More shit pulled from your ass.

                >motivated Peter to get back with MJ and have Mayday by simply existing around him and has Peter suck him off for it
That's an odd way to frame Peter enjoying mentoring Miles and wanting to have his own kids from the experience. I guess he should hate that Miles stepped up and that he didn't have to sacrifice himself in Kingpin's generator?

                >he just didn't know it sends you to the universe of your spider and not your own universe
...yes, that's called a mistake you racist moron.

No it's actually from the animation tests for Beyond, did you think he was going to be evil after they gave Prowler the career murderer a rest in power mural in the first one?

So the point of the movie is that Miles is better than everyone and he's the one and only most unique Spider-Man in the multiverse? Thanks for agreeing

They have a powerset that would tackle and subdue Miles in 0.001 seconds yet they all drop 100IQ points around him so he can beat them all, Peter doing it would be shit as well but at least justified from a meta perspective where none of them would exist without him and cribbing from his shit, meanwhile Miles is the new diversity hire who contributes nothing and gets to shit all over them anyway

Literally all of them kowtow to Miguel's shit for years and then the vast majority try to stop Miles who is correct in saying canon events make no sense, something that should be obvious to all of them from the get-go

And Miguel is presented as the "I AM SILLY" villain as confirmed by the writers/directors

Stop browsing your phone while watching movies, Gwen basically spells it out in the upside down scene and the movie implies Miles will be the first Spider-Man to save Gwen, or do you seriously think she's going to die in Beyond?

No, having Peter reject the responsibility of family and having kids until he meets Miles is an odd way to frame him who's usually a family man, which supports the claim Spider-Verse is approaching the writing from a "suck-off-Miles" perspective

It's not a mistake if you had no way of knowing, it's not your responsibility in any way, and Miles is never responsible for a mistake in these movies, unlike Peter whose story is founded on mistakes

"Woke" is an annoying buzzword but it obviously means (at least how the right has repurposed it's meaning) promotion of certain (mostly progressive) ideological values for ideological sake.

"Black and brown" can be woke when it's only there to promote a certain ideology, and we know that is the case from people saying so themselves. The constant media and talks of "Diversity", "representation", the whole push for more minorities and the whole rabbit of these ideas shows that this is true, a alot of "black and brown" in the modern media exist for ideological reasons. Therefore, with a lack of a better term, it is correct to call that "woke"

Denial of this is just being willfully ignorant because you agree with those values

Animation became irrelevant because of individuals like Cartoonbrew glorifying toddler shows instead of independent animation or mature animation.

  3. 4 months ago

That doesn’t make any sense because the Baftas were a day later and Hollywood people taking plane rides for back to back award shows is like the most common thing ever. You also can’t call the Annies irrelevant when almost all of their voters with film credits are also Academy voters.

Classic example of bait Cinemaphile will be happy to eat up. Amid gonna Amid.

Why are anons always hiding the notes these days? Is it because they would show that nobody cares? Pic related tweet only has 20 retweets so maybe barely anybody cared.
Also Bafta seems to be another fricking award so if anything the one to blame are the committees that decided to hold their awards at the same time as another award.

Spider-Man into the Shitverse is chasing too high, pretending they're real Hollywood films on the same level as Oppenheimer, even though in reality people see the movie as nothing more than a glorified children's cartoon. They've must felt secondhand embarrassment to lose the only nomination that the show got in the BAFTA award. Basically designating the Spiderverse nomination as some sort of fodder to make the new Hayao Miyazaki movie look good.

Meanwhile, people who work on an actual good show like Arcane remain humble and let the merit of the show's success and praise from Hollywood critics speak for themselves. Because of this, Arcane becomes the first streaming series to win an Emmy. Spiderverse wants to be taken seriously only to be treated like an unwanted spoilt child who thinks that they're so important when in reality they are not, while Arcane is being praised by Hollywood film directors while doing the absolute bare minimum and letting people do the praising for them. Spiderverse wishes they were sitting on the same throne as Arcane.

I honestly hate all of the shit you mentioned. Arcane was boring as shit, Miyazaki is overhyped as hell and Nolan didn't make a single good movie after Memento.
Arcane baffled me the most because I was 100% sure it would be the exact type of thing I would be into. But I thought that it was a series about the insecure little sister manning up after losing her older sister and becoming a brutal badass. Instead if felt like a generic chidren adventure and the little sister remains a wimp and feMC is mostly her loving family while the side characters are all lame safe for the big dude.
