To actually discuss the season and not shit on the show, splitting it into arcs was a mistake. And by the last half, they realized this. Did anybody really want 13 more episodes focused exclusively on Aquaman, Rocket or Nightwing or did they want the season to fricking wrap up?
>episodes focused exclusively on Aquaman, Rocket or Nightwing
Only Aquaman had episodes dedicated to his interests and how it was tied to the greater narrative.
Rocket and Nightwing were just guest starring in the episodes that served the greater narrative.
The dialogue is still to expositional and blunt at times and I felt they could've marketed the whole "arc revolves around an OG member" concept better, since they made it sound like all of the arc would be very character-driven like M'gann and Artemis's were.
Otherwise, it's a noticeable improvement over season 3 in terms of visuals and story. The animation unfortunately never recovered. The wedding ending is at least a fitting ending to it all if it doesn't come back.
Yeah, there's no need to recap the entire plot so far. Just have Nightwing explain how he faked his death and have a line about them catching up on the way there. I didn't even know the other heroes were supposed to be "dead". I thought they were just knocked out.
As someone who forces himself to watch this the real answer is that they had too many characters people didn't care about, and they ignored the originals. Simple as
>Lagoon boy having more than 1 sexual partner >Halo having pronouns >Rockets Son having severe autism >Garfield having severe Depression, gets dumped in the end and only has a support dog and his meds >Black Zod and son of zod
feel free to add to this, but adding our bullshit into their world just kills the vibe and makes it less unique and entertaining to watch.
>also sleeps with a women
anyone who's not a woman who's been in the same room as a naked man by choice, has looked at gay porn by choice, or has had the slightest hint of a gay thought ever is a flaming homo, anon. what's once is done can never be undone in christ.
the pandering took time that could have been spent on narrative stuff that actually mattered and character moments for characters that people actually care about.
Those minutes add up. Even if there was only a minute each episode, there's 26 episodes in the season. That's an entire episode-worth of content that is lost because they dedicated time and money to producing this pointless crap.
>Didnt sell enough toys
>timeskip
>timeskip in reality between seasons
>Going onto HBO Max where the tone of the show did a 180 with S3
People don't want to believe that sometimes dead is better.
I stopped when Barbs got herself paralyzed to "save" orphan I wonder who wrote that it made no sense unless she's a suicidal moron
The creator has autism

And the second half was better for it and you know it.
There's no argument there, but lets not pretend that Rocket or Nightwing got a fair shot compared to the others.

The biggest offender thusfar, imo, is when Nightwing "died."

The later season feel like they were made in Slideshow. I couldn't get over the absolute number of panning stills I had to endure.
They were clearly drawing and padding it out.
Episode number should have been cut it half.
Nothing went right to begin with, I don't know why people pretend S1-2 are good
Honestly, saying that the show was never good sounds like save-face cope.
>I never liked this show. I was just pretending to be moronic!
It isn't, I shat on it back in the day too
I bet you suck Bruce Timm's wiener too
Stop seething that everyone doesn't like your favorite cartoon, anon.
It's unbecoming of you.

You don't have to have been a die-hard fan to post in this thread, anon.

fricking homosexual.
there could never be anything gay about a relationship with the light and the truth. all is one. forever and ever amen.
yeah, anon, you're totally straight for constantly fantasizing about a man.
the queers never stop coping, do they?
the pandering, while heavy handed, was the least of the show's problems
the pandering took time that could have been spent on narrative stuff that actually mattered and character moments for characters that people actually care about.
this, like so much time saved but no they have to shove shit in our faces cause they want their audience to tolerate degenerate behavior
Most of those scenes didn't even last a minute or two.

>pointless
Do you know how $ = f(shilling) works?
I feel like the series is just trying to do too much
