You'd have a weird little spider society which would inevitably become hostile to one another with a spider civil war or something.
This could actually make for an awesome story.
The Spider-People are isolated from society like Spider-Man usually is, and they end up in bands following particularly charismatic Spider-Men.
Peter Parker is one of the few guys who probably wouldn't join up with any of the cliques.
Remember how the origin story involved Peter being the only teen who was nerdy enough to be going to a science exhibition while everyone else was out having fun? None of those other characters should even be in the same room in the first place, if that spider went on a biting frenzy around the room it should just be biting a bunch of older science dudes.
If it could happen to one spider, it could happen to another. If scientists figure out how to reproduce the effects, everyone can get spider powers.
Cindy's story would go about the same (unless Ezekiel tries to go recruit one of the other people who got bit early on)
Peter would hook up with Betty (since he'd have no reason to hide his secret from her) and they'd be a Spider-duo
Flash is kind of a wildcard because in that 70s story he chooses a heroic path while in other What Ifs where he got bit he becomes a villain
John Jameson's story goes about the same way in that What If but Peter and Betty show up to save the capsule and irritates JJJ for showing up his son
Do you think John would be able to convince Peter and Betty to reveal their identities? Creating a mini spider team based out of the Daily Bugle?
Also what happens to Gwen? I thought Spider Gwen started with a what if

That seems fine enough. Also Peter and Gwen both having powers during a high school era were MJ is in a band is inherently hilarious to me because Mary Jane just has to deal with both her boyfriend and drummer randomly vanishing
Yeah but if we're doing this with a 616 sort of universe then Gwen would be in a different high school than Peter. Harry would also be at Gwen's high school and not Peter's.
Also Peter and Betty being a tight-knit couple/crimefighting duo means it's less likely for Peter to go out with MJ

You know this story might actually end with Peter as the leader of a spider society, not because he wants to be a team leader, but rather because he feels it’s his RESPONSIBILITY to stop the others from being seduced into working for more charismatic evil spider people

It's feasible but the reason they broke up was a series of events:
>Betty's brother died and she blamed Spider-Man, so Peter became reluctant to let her know his secret
>Peter got too sidetracked with being Spider-Man that his relationship with Betty fractured and he wasn't around to stop her getting interested in Ned Leeds
If they both had powers right from the start and knew each others' secret, the whole thing with Betty's brother might've gone differently
Alternatively her brother could become Betty’s equivalent to Gwen

Probably not initially because they quickly leave after saving the shuttle. But John would probably want to investigate, maybe also eventually find out their identities on his own. John also likely would be the one to join the Avengers and also be their pilot (as he was in 616 at one point)

I think what OP is suggesting is that everyone who attended the science expo got bitten by the speedy spider which means we basically have every alternate spider person ironically except for Miles as the people attending would’ve been

For me this is what the “multi verse” is. I prefer alternate versions of the same character or breaking paths of a new premise. Stuff like what if Flash was Spider-man, or what if Peter kept his six arms, not WHAT IF SPIDER-MAN WAS A BLACK KID OR INDIAN or an alternate version jd Gwen Stacy where she was the protagonist and Peter was the lizard (as opposed to just being the normal gwen Stacy we know)
Same, honestly I’d like to see a kind of deconstructive view of some of these universes.
Like what happens if Gwen gets spider powers after Peter in a more normal universe. She’s still the same Gwen and getting powers doesn’t magically make her able to fight. Even if she figures out the web fluid she can’t build web shooters so she’ll probably use bombs or guns
See, I really want to see spider gwen, but with the original Gwen Stacy. especially Ditko era gwen, who was a huge b***h. I feel like there’d be a great story to write there, it would be similar to Ditko Pete’s characterization. And I find that idea way more interesting then NuGwen who is le punk rock rebel who is sad or whatever

Most of them would die or give up leaving Peter as the only one because contrary to modern interpretation not just anyone can be spider man
You'd have an overly huge spider-family that Cinemaphile would still be okay with until Miles shows up and is black all over the place.
Peter would be trying to make money while Flash would immediately try and be a hero which would put them at odds
Flash is the hothead bully but Peter pushes back like they pretend he didn't do and it comes to blows and eventually Flash storms out on his own and gets shot because he doesn't understand what the hell the buzzing in his head is telling him
Flash could still survive because of the powers but it becomes a watershed moment for both of them and they form a dynamic duo which takes the city by storm and probably a lucrative business to fund their activities after meeting Harry because with Flash's confidence, Peter's brains, Harry's backing and the superhero load being cut in half between the two of them they're basically unstoppable
