I wouldn't since theologically it doesn't really make sense.
Angels, unlike man, have to free will.

I hate that P&S was as successful as it was. It's artstyle was horrendous.

    >An angel falls to Earth and befriends a robot in the post-apocalypse.

    >We explore the life of the original Satan (depicted in Judaism) as he observes his Christian counterpart and how he has been interpreted by humanity across the centuries.

    >Satan falls from Heaven only to discover he's fallen to an Earth ruled by the Demiurge, and rallies an army to defeat him and find a way home.

    >In secret, Angels work to protect humanity from dangerous monsters, space aliens, and even from themselves.

    >Angels are depicted as bug-like and act akin to ants or bees.

For the fourth one I had an idea that maybe the Angel's can't interfere directly with the world (something something non interference clause to prevent nephilim) but they instead empower humans to fight these foes

VivziePop has done irreparable damage to Christianity, the likes of which haven't been seen since since 1054.

I just don't think you can't be very interesting about it without taking from Trigun's imagery and conceptual explorations of the notion. There's not a ton else you can do without being too boring, pop cultural and uninventive, or going so far off base that it might as well not be about angels anymore

In a panic due to plummeting worship rates around the globe, the isolationist God authorises a crack team of (Humorous, offbeat and eccentric) angels to descend from the heavens and stealthily perform miracles for mankind - with all manner of bizarre shenanigans occurring in their attempts to do so.
Maybe have the angels, as entities formed of human belief, be a variety of different depictions of their kind, i.e one is a Michelangelo statue Sephiroth looking guy, one is a chubby toddler with wings and a halo, one is a terrifying mix of wings, eyes and burning wheels etc.
In this same vein, they could have different affiliations with different denominations, maybe a Protestant and Catholic pair who are constantly bickering over what is the best way to fulfill their plans etc.
In their travels, they come across similar groups from the other major and minor world religions (And Atheism, somehow) as they secretly compete for the hearts and minds of the population of an increasingly cynical, hopeless world.
Sort of a light-hearted reflection on the role of religion in society and whether it has a place or not, and how several widely different beliefs can co-exist (Maybe have all of the different ways the Earth and mankind were created exist be all correct, somehow)

On a side note, I do hope Hazbin explores something with the notion of angels being intrinsically good, and thus making all of their acts of goodness quite worthless.
Their fervor in killing the sinners, thus, is the rage of someone who never could choose their actions and never actually lived, seeing those who were offered every last chance to lead a good life but continued to waste their mortal lives and take them for granted.
Oh, and maybe have a reflection on religion as an excuse for violence and atrocity. Some crusader or something goes to the hotel, maybe, stumped on why he went to Hell. All the terrible things he did, he did in the name of God, after all.

      Since when are angels that?

For the purpose of the show, we assume that the Gods and angels and etc exist because of the power of faith, or that if enough people believe in something, it will exist. This is the reason why the gods send minions down to Earth, as their power works in relation to the number and strength of believers they have, to the point that they will cease to exist in any form if forgotten completely.
In turn with this previous logic, the religions are somewhat affected by what people believe, which will be depicted in this visual medium by a blending of different cultural depictions of the same basic entities (This thematically relates to the symbiotic relationship between mankind being affected by religion and vice versa I guess)
In the case of the angels, this means they appear as various depictions of what different people around the world believe an angel should look like.

          >For the purpose of the show, we assume that the Gods and angels and etc exist because of the power of faith
That's directly contradicted by the existence of Adam. In this setting, God created humans, not the other way around. Additionally, there doesn't seem to be any hint of other religions or targets of belief existing. If a setting works as you describe, Santa Claus would really exist, and so would all sorts of deities and afterlives.

            >If a setting works as you describe, Santa Claus would really exist, and so would all sorts of deities and afterlives.
That is what I described - basically that most every religion with believers would exist , and that the competition between them was a key part of the narrative.
Furthermore, I stated that a key theme would be a discussion of the coexistence . That being that, due to the innately irrational power of human belief and faith, the world ~was~ created a number of different ways, as was mankind, and various afterlives do exist.
As for the "God created man thing", I guess you could go for a "Chicken and the egg" type angle. There is some discourse in-universe over whether mankind is a creation of the divine, or the divine a creation of mankind, with the ultimate result being basically unchanged in that they both exist.
If it wasn't apparent already, I'm making this up on the spot. I do appreciate the pointing out of flaws.
