yep really it's so ass, like it was so dumb. Also the color of it is moronicly muted for a heroine about colors. Then seeing what her og outfit looked like more messy spray painter with different colored wigs felt more badass and fun.
Then also seeing what the scrapped designs of the costume was is also depressing. Like why pick the least interesting variation

As someone who has to constantly deal with obnoxious bullshit DEI requests for revisions on presentations and publications, these notes read identical to those I’ve seen from colleagues who’ve been told they had to tone down the color palette so as not to exclude colorblind readers.

same sadly, why i'm a bit happy I don't do the art side professionally anymore and do more just corpo stuff(pays better too kek).
But yeah I have to do this a lot as well now they are even using AI to race swap shit weirdest stuff you'll ever see. Basically when they want to change something they'll use the base and change it using AI. An yeah I can respect remediation and accessibility but most times we are walking on tiptoes for people that aren't even there. Once had to write captions/speaker notes for the text to write for a presentation for a Quarterly meeting and learned not a single person there needed it. I was like who was this for and it was a internal presentation so you can't send it to anyone as most info was private and under DMCA. So at best someone would still need to edit it again to make it client facing dumbassery and why corpo is better working from home as less time dealing with bosses random bs ideas.

Going to utilize telekinesis in a similar fashion to how Exodus and Superboy utilize their telekinesis, aka a flying brick. The precognition is useful power for both offense and defense. Helps to predict what the opposition would do and potentially counter them. Helps to avoid potential fatal attacks that manages to bypass my telekinesis defense. The healing factor is just extra insurance to help me survive potentially mortal injuries and recover from it. Most healing factors also provide a degree of moronic aging and longevity so that's also a bonus.
Depends on if it's tactical telekinesis also then you'd probably want Super strength/invincibility unless you want to keep smashing your mangled carcass into supes until they die.
But you'd be a pretty op on most people, but hard on those super durable bastards. Unless you can make hightier kinetic blast or do some full cowling amps lol.

Tactile telekinesis is just a limited form and variant of telekinesis. Anything tactile telekinesis user is capable of doing, a telekinesis user should be capable of doing. But most capeshit writers are unimaginative and limit telekinesis to just the ability to move things with their minds. Exodus and Manchestor Black are probably the only big2 capeshit characters allowed to utilize their telekinesis creatively.

I agree with you but that gift doesn't really sells me the idea, using you psychic powers to punch stronger isn't really more creative that moving stuff with your mind. looks cool though.
In my mind that would be the continuation, since the general in the comic was clearly evil in his own right. Primer realizes she is being used by big military and rebelling ditching the corpo outfit and getting her own.

Seems to be what will happen based on the concept art but still prefer og or the more liquid color design suit. The gray/white suit feels to basic and not a fan of the gray spots when colors change.

She appeared in Titans Academy as a new student, but the book was cancelled and it appears to have been declared non-canon as her sequel book is totally disregarding it (i.e. using the 2003 Titans and not the modern versions).
I can see Primer idolizing Batgirl, since she's a street-level as well. Email penpals don't work very well in the superhero community.
Starfire never remembers to checks hers, since it's a mission every few days, and just communicates in emojis. Amethyst is constantly flipping back and forth to Gemworld, and forgetting minor details like X's name. And of course, either of the Questions is copying their email to a secure server.
There's any number of ways to have Primer pratfall, slipping on some paint, while stopping the Joker. Including her landing in a corner tangled up with Harly Quinn.
Or maybe fingerpainting with a also fully-paint-covered Mary Dahl.
Or Primer trying to tag along for some buddy-cop adventures with Golden Girl.

It's a co thing. Some of the local nuts want to ship Hal with underaged girls, and sometimes he doesn't know they're underaged. Primer isn't an adult, and she has a lot of green paint- and paint of the other GL ring colors too. They can go on adventures together, abusing the mentor/student/apprentice roles.
Then he'd be just a giant monkey anon, have you not seen crisis on infinite earth or The avenger animated movie. It's easy to press giant things with super powers.

The paint holder device "just does" creates more paint. Which is either some fancy biotech whatsit that creates every paint, or Primer is just that bad at math, which seems the more likely one.

Why use body fluids? It's a comic book. Let her reload it with gesso from an art store and it turns it into the magic super paint.
No lie depending on how the self duplication works you could be quite op. like imagine if with IQ and regen you just keep doubling up your skeleton or muscles but you've got the brain power to do it in a way that doesn't well straight kill you. Or maybe you can reabsorb your clones and all their knowledge and experiences like naruto clones. Imagine the amount of stuff you can get done plus never have to put the host body in danger.
Neon Green-psy/mind control/reading to combat other heroes with mind based powers and to use to escape from capture and sense enemies that can be invisible/tiny or while I am sleeping
Red Violet-telekinesis to stop projectile attacks and physically control people without being subject to things like burning bodies or toxic skin
Yellow-super speed in order to avoid being incapacitated by speedsters who would otherwise be able to knock me out before I can use my powers
Assuming that the telekinesis is at a super strength level this makes you kill proof and these powers provide you perfect opportunities to get rich with or without crime along with being the best athlete in the world.
Money, Fame, and Being invulnerable from all but mass attack
Not a bad idea anon, always love deeper thought into these. But yeah literally could see this being a build for a interesting business man/politician character. imagine him trying to be big brain and just make cash or live a simple life without being noticed. Basically yoshikage kira but without being a serial killer, he just doesn't want to be forced to be a hero or messed with for being super human.
As I recall, wasn't there a character from the Legion of Super heroes called Ultraman? He had all the powers, just one at a time. >He can fly, but isn't invulnerable. etc. Since many of the heroes of LOSH are genetically modified colonists in a space age setting, it would make sense that Primer stealing the paint device has managed to screw up the plans for the future.
Many advancements have been caused by one lucky discovery, then backtracking and figuring out how to repeat it in controlled- and uncontrolled- conditions.
They should use her suit more creatively. But she would need a sidekick to hug her to push out the paint that it is filled with.
But I agree that Primer being creative with what she's put together to make a superhero outfit enough to conceal her identity is part of the fun.
Yeah that's the problem though her outfit does less to conceal her identity than before. One of the reasons I liked her og concept is it was unique so rarely do heroes use wigs especially not multiple. It's a genius idea to hide your identity, also just had a bit more style as being a rookie new hero just going for it like she ran right out the house to save the day.

Man, for a long time I didn't read her book and only knew of her from threads here, and I thought her concept was really cool - a superhero who gets a different power set based on what colors she paints herself. Really fun idea.
But now that I've actually engaged with the material... what the frick? Special superhero extract paint that specifically gives her those powers? There's not even anything special about her, any random schmuck could do the exact same thing but better because they're an adult. Not only that, it's an extremely rare finite resource unless she signs herself over to the military industrial complex? Why couldn't she just have the paint power and react to normal paint? This makes me the opposite of interested in seeing this character more. Sure, the same goes for guy like Green Lantern and Dr. Fate in that they have magic items that empower them, but at least their magic items have some wacky mystical shit. Literally anyone could do Printer's job better, why should I care about her?
They inherently severely limited the types of stories she can do and action she can engage in with this moronic magic limited supply paint shit. She must always work as a corpo drone because she needs the paint and there's no other way to get more.
Maybe her creators thought that it'd be easier of a concept to buy in a sci fi setting. As in, the paint actually being sci-fi superhero coom that just resembles paint is more believable of a concept than a girl whose skin inexplicitly grants her powers when paint of all things is applied to it.
Personally I think she also has too many powers to choose from, after looking at this list.

She would become a lot more tiring to follow as a character if you need to keep checking back on this reference sheet to see what she can and can't do in any given situation. A lot of these colors are very similar to others and you could probably cut them down by half and there'd still be a lot of them.

This would be fine if Primer was a character in a standalone world, but she isn't, she's in the DC world. A world with shapeshifting aliens, chaos gods, a guy who can turn into any animal, magic, demons, ghosts, zombies, werewolves.
Hell, even if they made it so she just took some kind of experimental formula by mistake or something and ended up with the paint powers, that makes more sense than what she's stuck with. No wonder she doesn't get more stories, you can't do anything cool with her due to the garbage restrictions she's stuck with.

The paint regenerates and only she and the other badguy can use the paints since the badguy killed the scientist that made the special formula that actually makes the paints take effect on people.
I think is a cool superpower because water can actually neutralize her despite all her powers.

None of those are a finite resource. You can't use Primer too much otherwise it becomes moronic that she hasn't run out of the extremely limited amount of paint she has especially as she splashes fricking paint everywhere.

The army base guy makes sense because they need to human test subject somebody, and he'd be in the area. Crook dad doesn't make sense because they can't just parole him the moment they need the drama to increase. Still, in DC you'd think that the USA (or it's corporate owners) would be more open to 'outsourcing prison labor' to some of the galactic locals. Primer getting caught in a prison transfer, being an eyewitness, being the only known family member, etc, getting transported to Thanagar or Zod's Planet instead would be the sort of thing that would happen in an ongoing. (There's so many different stories getting passed by while Batman is the sole dump stat for the spare DC comics anymore.) Moving from prison to Apocalypse would be about the same, and managing to escape would only increase your toughness in the eyes of the overseers. The term 'value' does not get applied to people on Apocalypse, but at least they wouldn't have to learn 4 different chinese languages.
Just saying her moment of growth didn't need her to literally punch a giant facsimile of her dad, the part where she sees the mural and decided to go fight. The stuff iwht the dad is fine, but if facing her fears is a point in the story she should confront her read father instead of the military guy shapeshifting into him.
What I'm trying to say is the the comic should had a single well writen butthole adult that serves as the antagonist instead of two less developed antagonists. The Military guy is scary enough as he is, I think the part where she manages to escape but is scared and still decides to fight with no powers is a better emotional climax that adding a "face your fears" moment in final battle.

One of the reasons I liked her og concept is it was unique so rarely do heroes use wigs especially not multiple. It's a genius idea to hide your identity, also just had a bit more style as being a rookie new hero just going for it like she ran right out the house to save the day.

Man, for a long time I didn't read her book and only knew of her from threads here, and I thought her concept was really cool - a superhero who gets a different power set based on what colors she paints herself. Really fun idea.
But now that I've actually engaged with the material... what the frick? Special superhero extract paint that specifically gives her those powers? There's not even anything special about her, any random schmuck could do the exact same thing but better because they're an adult. Not only that, it's an extremely rare finite resource unless she signs herself over to the military industrial complex? Why couldn't she just have the paint power and react to normal paint? This makes me the opposite of interested in seeing this character more. Sure, the same goes for guy like Green Lantern and Dr. Fate in that they have magic items that empower them, but at least their magic items have some wacky mystical shit. Literally anyone could do Printer's job better, why should I care about her?

Maybe her creators thought that it'd be easier of a concept to buy in a sci fi setting. As in, the paint actually being sci-fi superhero coom that just resembles paint is more believable of a concept than a girl whose skin inexplicitly grants her powers when paint of all things is applied to it.
Personally I think she also has too many powers to choose from, after looking at this list.
She would become a lot more tiring to follow as a character if you need to keep checking back on this reference sheet to see what she can and can't do in any given situation. A lot of these colors are very similar to others and you could probably cut them down by half and there'd still be a lot of them.

This would be fine if Primer was a character in a standalone world, but she isn't, she's in the DC world. A world with shapeshifting aliens, chaos gods, a guy who can turn into any animal, magic, demons, ghosts, zombies, werewolves.
Hell, even if they made it so she just took some kind of experimental formula by mistake or something and ended up with the paint powers, that makes more sense than what she's stuck with. No wonder she doesn't get more stories, you can't do anything cool with her due to the garbage restrictions she's stuck with.

The army base guy makes sense because they need to human test subject somebody, and he'd be in the area. Crook dad doesn't make sense because they can't just parole him the moment they need the drama to increase. Still, in DC you'd think that the USA (or it's corporate owners) would be more open to 'outsourcing prison labor' to some of the galactic locals. Primer getting caught in a prison transfer, being an eyewitness, being the only known family member, etc, getting transported to Thanagar or Zod's Planet instead would be the sort of thing that would happen in an ongoing. (There's so many different stories getting passed by while Batman is the sole dump stat for the spare DC comics anymore.) Moving from prison to Apocalypse would be about the same, and managing to escape would only increase your toughness in the eyes of the overseers. The term 'value' does not get applied to people on Apocalypse, but at least they wouldn't have to learn 4 different chinese languages.
Just saying her moment of growth didn't need her to literally punch a giant facsimile of her dad, the part where she sees the mural and decided to go fight. The stuff iwht the dad is fine, but if facing her fears is a point in the story she should confront her read father instead of the military guy shapeshifting into him.
What I'm trying to say is the the comic should had a single well writen butthole adult that serves as the antagonist instead of two less developed antagonists. The Military guy is scary enough as he is, I think the part where she manages to escape but is scared and still decides to fight with no powers is a better emotional climax that adding a "face your fears" moment in final battle.
