Zaheer learn most of the airbending in a week or so, Bolin not being able to metalbending because he was a undiscovered lavabending user too
The show had a lot of terrible writing decisions, mostly around the frankly insulting relationship carousel of the main group and the failure to actually question the ethics of the villains meaningfully. Plus the uncertainty around how long the show would actually be forced some very awkward pacing.
>before season 1 aired >Cinemaphile: Oh my god, muscle waifu, step on me! New season of avatar let's go! >after season 1 >Cinemaphile: The writing is abysmal, Korra is annoying and doesn't learn anything(I still want to frick her though), the love triangle was written horribly
and now you >Cinemaphile just hates women
I agree, it’s a fun show and whatever the same 4 episodes people bring up shouldn’t ruin the rest. a lot of its contemporaries were meaner and no one bats an eye
I was one of the few people who'd defend this show on the Nick.com forums and I used to get up super early just to catch the remaining episodes I missed on Nicktoons.
They very loosely based storylines, character attributes, and episodes based on a very loose interpretation of the books and the Wayside lore. The results ended up turning a lot of Wayside fans off and the show was on Nicktoons Network by a few months after it dropped. Sachar also apparently wasn't too happy with the series in the end.
People hate this show? Why? I absolutely loved it as a kid, specially the intro, damn it was a good as theme song.
I really enjoyed it but a lot of Wayside books fans really didn't like it or watch it. I did really enjoy the one Nick game they had for it and Teletoon had a few I think as well.
[...]
It was a downgrade from the books but it was a fine goofball kid's show. And [...] is correct, the theme song was great.
the 2000s era Canadian animation was also probably a turnoff for a lot of people. then again, Johnny Test got plenty of episodes for a good number of years and Total Drama Island is considered a 2000s and 2010s classic now.
Considering it's Canadian, it's serviceable and has some charm. Don't expect it to be that much like the books, though this Maurecia is a cutie.
It's free on Tubi. https://tubitv.com/series/562/wayside
For the longest time it was Yu-gi-oh, but it seems like culture has come around since then. So I was either ahead of my time, or as immature as the younger generation.
As the younger millennials and older/core zoomers get older, I think a lot of the 2000s cartoons are getting a revisit. Yu-gi-oh is probably a part of that.
Twelve Forever. I really liked it, but most others just seem to remember it for the Butt Witch and Vickerman being a pedophile (Which isn't even the worst thing she has done). You can't even have a productive thread here because of all the Evangelion nonsense.
everybody here hates this movie and I don't know why, it's good and funny, I watch it at least once a year and I bet if it was CGI slop everybody will think its great, fricking hate what this place has become...
I avoided it for years, a decade even because of the poor reception. It sounded like the worst possible thing.
Then I finally watched it on D+ one evening, thinking "Hey, it's here, may as well complete my Disney list" and was pleasantly surprised at it. My expectations were really low so that probably helped but I laughed and had a fun time with it. It certainly is on the more childish side so back when it came out I probably wouldn't have liked it at all, being a surly teen, but on its own, an alright film.

I will admit, this is not what I was expecting from a villain song.

Eh, I don't really watch that many unpopular shows... I do think the Venom movie is a fun action movie for what it is
It kind of seems like the entire internet has turned on it but I still absolutely love the first two seasons of Steven Universe and there is at least one standout episode even in the shitty seasons.
I will die on the hill that Peridot had one of the best redemption arcs out there even if it was immediately squandered by the barning.
>I will die on the hill that Peridot had one of the best redemption arcs out there even if it was immediately squandered by the barning.
Agreed. SU is one those show where you had to be there to watch it when it was first debuting. I still remember getting excited watching the episodes live for the first couple of seasons.
Filmation He-Man, Ruby-Spears Mega Man, AoStH and SATAM are all things I enjoy which I should be ashamed of according to zoomers. Zoomers got no taste.

Legend of Korra. Let's be honest folks: Cinemaphile just hates women
most of Cinemaphile only hates ugly annoying women, Korra is hot but she's super annoying and only remembered for coom
>Korra only remembered for coom
>posts Timms greatest coombait character
What did you mean by this?
>greatest coombait character
But that's Harley
Too crazy
The difference is that Kara isn’t annoying and is cute. The timm version isn’t a super deep character but she works

How do you explain me?
Your husband also doesn’t like Korra.
It’s the opposite, everyone says they love Korra but I secretly hate it.
Didn’t Korra irreversibly change Cinemaphile forever?
I mean yeah, but the show is bad anyways
Foster's, because everyone here says it was mean-spirited garbage.
I agree, it’s a fun show and whatever the same 4 episodes people bring up shouldn’t ruin the rest. a lot of its contemporaries were meaner and no one bats an eye
Sonic Prime
Star Wars cartoons
Not Cinemaphile but this kind of thing happened to me with Freeman's Mind.
People hate on Freeman’s Mind? I thought it was well received, but Mr.Mushroom man and his unscripted incoherent babbling were the issue.

Is it bad?

Not that surprising for a Canadian show.
