The Comedy is similar to Sam Hyde's comedy, but I think The Comedy was more about the emptiness of such humour and the people who pursue it. Sam is pretty much a real life version of that character without as much of the trendy city hipsterness.

The Comedy is similar to Sam Hyde's comedy, but I think The Comedy was more about the emptiness of such humour and the people who pursue it. Sam is pretty much a real life version of that character without as much of the trendy city hipsterness.
However, I would argue that Sam is aware of the nihilism of such comedy which is why he always presented it in a highly ironic and subtly self-criticizing way.
