Punch-Drunk Love by a country mile
>WHAT'S YOUR NAME
Amazing that he basically plays an Adam Sandler character, but pulls off doing it dramatic.
Punch Drunk Love was a great movie.
Best post
the longest yard was actually good
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
Mr. Deeds
Uncut Gems
Best comedy movie: Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, but Waterboy has a place in my heart
Worst: Reign Over Me and the Netflix POS
>and the Netflix POS
With the exception of Hubie Halloween, which is one of his best.
8 crazy nights is peak sandman comfy

50 First Dates
Also Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Waterboy
>Happy Gilmore
this, obviously Happy Gilmore it's not even close
of course nerds on Cinemaphile saying shit like Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems which are good but don't count as Sandler films
Waterboy is top tier
Wedding Singer
>Best: Click, unless you count ones he's produced then Mall Cop
>Most Underrated: 50 First Dates
>Funniest: Billy Madison
>Worst: Just Go With It (Jenn and Adam had 0 chemistry)
Hubie Halloween
What's that movie where he's a young boy and fricks his teacher? I've never seen it and I don't know if it's good, but younger boy + older woman is my fetish so I want to check it out.
it's called that's my boy
Zohan
uncut gems
Why do israelites name their kids after who they despise, like Paul (Saul of Tarsus), Adam (the sodomite) etc.? Is it that secular israelites really don't know anything about the likes Judaism, Sabbateanism, Kabbalah; much less, Zionism...?
Paul is a weird choice but Adam is the father of all humanity in both Christianity and Judaism no? Also Robert is a weird choice they make often. It's a Germanic name in origin and the only notable Robert pre 20th century I know of is Robert the Bruce.
Mixed Nuts
He plays his standard character but he's only in it for about 10 minutes and he hooks up with troony Liev Schreiber
Click/ uncut gems.
Click has a heartbreaking scene that actually stayed with me.
I really liked uncut gems.
unironically thats my boy. I blew it off as another garbage movie when it first came out, decided to watch it 2 years ago, goddamn I hadnt laughed that hard in years. need to rewatch
He's actually a very good actor. The problem is that the fricker just wants to be in his comfort zone.
are his serious movies not taken seriously because the characters are boring?
Adam Sandler is amazing he's got such a style he seems like a nice guy and has such class as if I really had to pick I suppose I would have to define his comedies in 3 Basic subgroups that of the normal adam the crazy adam and the erudite adam.
People will say he's best as erudite Adam in such religious comedies such as little nicky or the masterclass; pixels the allegory for ww1 and the brilliant president Kevin James speech, plus the genuinely funny references to 80's arcade hits such as Pacman and Tetris. I would have to say my favorite Adam Sandler comedy of the crazy Adam would be a little absurdist sports drama comedy or sports dramaday called The Waterboy. With a laugh a minute and the classic supporting cast the crazy Adam comedies are probably my favorite, another classic would be Punch Drunk Love where he portrays an almost prophetic futuristic portrayal of an incel, a daring tale where he is able to redeem the unredeemable, himself, by striking up a relationship with the virtuous woman of his dreams.
Out of normal Adam I think my favorite would absolutely be Happy Gilmore, a second sublime sports film following up the great The Waterboy.
