I know it gets mentioned a lot, but the fact that he cut the entire palm of his hand by accident but instead of crying like b***h he continued like nothing AND used his blood to add into the scene was just phenomenal.
I have massive doubts that's real. Given health and safety regulations I don't think Leo would have gotten away with improvising and rubbing blood all over that actresses face without her suing him for some gibs.
Still, I'm not sure I believe it. If it were real they'd have the footage on tape of the moment QT says "cut" and then Leo's like AHH my hand is bleeding bro as evidence. You know they'd show it to us if that footage existed, but it doesn't because the story is made up as a promo like this guy mentioned
Also, you've never noticed how on all these promo talks they always have one juicy story or anecdote that happened during shooting. They probably rehearse it in front of a mirror.
These drama homosexuals always have to have a story about how awesome they are when doing promo tours. Reminds me of Michael Fassbender in 12 Years a Slave telling everyone he vomited after he acted out the scene where he rapes one of his slaves because he was so appalled at what he'd had to act out. Clearly just desperate virtue signalling, besides Fassbender has jungle fever like Robert DeNiro, he probably got hard as a rock raping that slave girl.
You cant blame fass, audiences can't seperate fantasy from reality anymore, if he didn't come up with some hilariously exaggerated story he'd be branded as a rapist

I watched it just now. You can't even see Christoph's face in the shot, unless you're referring to the lawyer who is played by a guy called Dennis Christopher - he simply raises his hand in shock.
It's amazing how plebs are impressed by such small feats in acting.
"wowee, the big famous man did something while he was acting that wasn't in le script, wowee this is true high art zomg"
Leo clearly doesn't even notice he's cut himself, I doubt he even felt it and he just kept going when he saw the blood. It's nothing but a bit of trivia, it isn't OMG LE METHOD ACTING SO HARDCORE moment people think it is.
>Heath Ledger got one for Joker >Joaquin Phoenix for his role as the Joker >Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh > Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter >Christoph Waltz as a Nazi in The Inglorius Basterds
I think Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview in There Will be Blood but I guess he isn't really a villain.
>OK smartass, name 17 more or I'll accept your concession.
I was just being a smart ass. I think playing a compelling villain is harder. That's why I don't get upset when white guys are villains because I think they are better actors than MoC.
I think audiences are simply low IQ and if they see a bad man on screen they associate it with the actor and see the actor as a bad man
There is a famous case in this country of a popular TV show having a subplot about a man physically abusing his wife. The actor playing the abusive husband stopped being able to go out in public because random people would recognise him and assault him because they associated him with his character. That's the sort of intelligence a lot of audiences are working with.
That's an epic movie but also a very unpleasant movie. I forget, did they include the part where be faked a movie so they could dredge up a Russian submarine under the guise of shooting an action film?
It just sucked to see him lose his mind and pull away from everyone and everything. I remember when I saw it the first time I was aware of Howard Hughs and all the stuff he had done but I had never seen his mental illness depicted or talked about too much. I just kept thinking how if I had known him I would have wanted to help him. It gave me a perspective on how even the rich and powerful are vulnerable
Honestly, it's What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I'd say he did too good of a job. Made watching the movie a very uncomfortable experience, which I'm sure cost him votes.
He's a bad to mediocre actor outside of Gilbert Grape. He's one of the few big time actors I can say is almost soap opera tier. There are b and c list actors who are more reliable than he is.
>Fit for the movie he's in
The Quick and the Dead
Wolf of Wall Street
The Aviator >"""Oscar worthy performances"""
The Revenant
Titanic
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
>The Quick and the Dead
I can browse /gif/ for the worst gore and death videos and feel nothing but Leo's death scene in this movie hits me in the gut every time
Django and he should've won best supporting actor over Waltz (who was also very good).
I know it gets mentioned a lot, but the fact that he cut the entire palm of his hand by accident but instead of crying like b***h he continued like nothing AND used his blood to add into the scene was just phenomenal.
It's called acting bro, it isn't that impressive when it's all your whole career since you were a boy and you get paid millions for it
I have massive doubts that's real. Given health and safety regulations I don't think Leo would have gotten away with improvising and rubbing blood all over that actresses face without her suing him for some gibs.
The paused it you mong, kept it in, attended to the cut and put some cranberry juice on his hand to smear over her face.
O yeh

It's 100% real. You can see the concern on Christopher's face in the shot.

You are full of le shit.
>unless you're referring to the lawyer
Yes. That's why I used his last name.
Pretty fricking pretentious tbh nobody would know that without checking IMDB. A normal person would just say "the lawyer dude"
I used Wikipedia 🙂

Sam L should have takin it over those two tbh. All great though.
Yah great cast all the way around. I couldn't knock any of em.
Villains don't win academy awards. It's why it took so long for Leo to actually play one and why big male movie stars tend to keep away from them.
They gave Denzel one for 'Training Day'.

Didn't Jack Nicklaus win one for Joker, too?

The Aviator

How is it unpleasant? Was it the bottles of piss he collected?

one of his twink era roles
>This Boy's Life
>The Basketball Diaries
Based.
I'd say The revenant
The one where he makes old washed-up roasties seethe
Blood Diamond
Departed. Not even close.
Wolf of Wall Street because he was playing himself. Everything else is tryhard cringe shit with an awful accent
WOWS unironically showed that he had comedic chops when he's not doing pretentious oscar bait
Funny how every answer is different. He doesn't deserve one at all.
There's something there for everyone. That's how you know he is GOAT
i liked him in once upon a time. The way he switched from neurotic stuttering sperg actor to action-hero/cowboy was fun and believable.
Honestly, it's What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I'd say he did too good of a job. Made watching the movie a very uncomfortable experience, which I'm sure cost him votes.
>women younger than 25 jerk off to this
Imagine having that kind of power, Leo is fricking based
I guess I should have gone full soijak all along
the role of fat he calls a "chin" the porky little nonce
inception & gatsby
change my mind nerds, you cannot
He starting to resemble Jack Nicholson
Jack
Catch Me if You Can, plebs
What's Eating Gilbert Grape

The Aviator
The aviator or the departed
>What's Leo's best role?
Louis XIV
He's a bad to mediocre actor outside of Gilbert Grape. He's one of the few big time actors I can say is almost soap opera tier. There are b and c list actors who are more reliable than he is.
The Departed. He was much more naturalistic there than in his other roles.
Titanic and Wolf of Wallstreet.

I hate him and prefer tom cruise but he's pretty heroic in body of lies directed by ridley scott
Being a heterosexual male.
Danny Archer-Blood Diamond, I think that was one of the few times I believed he was playing a character and not just Leo.
Rick dalton
