What's one of the most romantic movies you've recently watched?
I did anon, I’ve been saying in every thread how surprised I was. I went in expecting some degenerate shit and got an empathetic romantic (black) comedy. I really enjoyed it.

Yeah that’s fair, that’s not really the right term but I wanted to distinguish it from a typical rom com because I don’t think it is one and it makes fun of its degeneracy (it really makes fun of BDSM and how absurd it can be) and its characters but still sympathizes and cares about them. Great writing.

i actually watched it twice because after the first watch I was a little confused (the subs were bad) and I was convinced I missed something because the movie is so highly acclaimed
on second watch with different subs (that were still not great) I realized some of the confusion was because no other romance movie I ever watched played out like this one. it subverted what I expected to happen so hard that I literally didn't believe what I saw and had to see it twice
was definitely a great film I just wish there were better subs.
