Is Primal worth watching? I'd be going in completely blind, no prior knowledge. Samurai Jack is my favorite Cinemaphile media by far, I do an annual re-watch with some buddies around November each year.
Yes yes yes. If you like Samurai Jack that much, watch it and go on the kino adventure of a lifetime, leading up to the most GENNNNDDDYYY ending he’s ever done.
If you like Samurai Jack, you're gonna ADORE Primal. It's Genndy Tartakovsky with no holds barred. Full creative freedom with hardly any S&P bullshit. I can't defend every episode in Season 2, but the [spoiler]fifth one has me excited for what comes next[/spoiler]
Full anthology series. Barring the occasional 2-parter, each one takes place in a different setting with different characters. The only overarching theme is "Survival" but it keeps the signature ultraviolence and minimal dialogue.
The final episode of the season is Fang teaching her babies how to hunt in the African savannah. They fight a giant elephant, possibly a supernatural one.
Maybe 1-3 episodes about his daughter and anthology otherwise. Would be kino if he did a sci fi one with some human embracing the power of UNGA to go ham on an alien

If it’s just going to be “human gets really mad and goes unga” over and over it’s going to get stale really fast. I could see like 3 episodes of that working before I get bored
