They've had multi-episode arcs since kyle was at that israelite camp with Moses in like season 3

yes it was funny until they used Rick Roll for the 3rd or 4th time and called it a perfect trolling. What the frick was that shit? It ruined the entire episode.
The setup was great and Gerald starting the viral trolling that got the Danish woman to commit suicide could have been used in a better way. The worldwide TrollTrace multiple episode thing was just stupid.
Better ending: come back from commercial after the suicide. Gerold is talking to an unseen person. "I know you're good at handling situations like this, I need your help, please!" It's Cartman he's talking to. They team up to dox Dildo gaygins and get him to an hero. They also pin the bawdhunt account on him. A relieved Gerald thanks Cartman who responds with something anti-semitic just before credits.
One episode.
anything after around season 10 with rare exceptions (airsoft ep) is the same level of shitty to me. show fell off hard but its not simpsons level of walking corpse yet.
Hope that they'd get better. Came close to quiting the show many times but that was the last straw that showed me how pozzed they've become. They had a good, long run but it's beyond over now.
>The post covid specials were the most hyped shit South Park has done in more than a decade >streaming wars is already forgotten
What happened there?
Goddamn, I completely fricking forgot about streaming wars. Right now I just want to watch the episode where Cartman tricks Butters into thinking he's playing VR. That scene was great.
>Stopped being great when Chef got killed off >Stopped being good when PC Principal was introduced >Stopped being okay when Randy bought a weed farm >Now it's unwatchable garbage after Streaming Wars
This show stopped being funnier than modern Family Guy
This is the worst episode in the series. I've never seen comedy central show this one since it aired and they play like 50 episodes of South Park weekly

I was later surprised at the actual lack of dicks shown in GoT, expecting a redwood forest of them.
Matt and Trey are pretty much wrong about everything they parody past season 9. Even that is being generous.

That episode was atrocious. I think that was back when you could hear Trey's black wife nagging him through the screen.
I watched the episode with Michael Jackson's ghost earlier today. There were some scenes with an "airplane" full of dead celebrities, and the only two people I even remembered/recognized where the two that were specifically called by name. Really made the episode dated and part of what made it shitty.

I re-watch it from time to time (also Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy etc).

when they fed bacon to an irl pig that kind of rubbed me the wrong way
I'm not some moral person, in fact I'm not sure morals even exist, and I certainly don't think there's anything above being made fun off on tv, but tricking a creature in to cannibalism just kind of irks me on an existential level
Pigs would eat everything including their babies, don't feel bad
t. grew up on a farm
One year my grandparents decided to slaughter their sow that was getting too old to have more piglets. The deep freeze in the basement where they kept the meat broke, and they didn't know about it until after the meat inside had started to rot, so they had to throw it all out. All of that pork got thrown into the pigpen, which means the pigs were eating their own mother. Farm life is something else.
For me it's the "shellfishness" "joke" from the ccovid specials, only really because/especially since Matt and Trey (supposedly, though maybe I've been misinformed) used to be freedom loving libertarians, that shit kinda shits on the message/spirit of something like the old voting episode with P. Diddy
Tegridy farms was not funny, but strangely it gave them a new 'base' that some of the stories worked with, but trying to extract humor from tegridy farms as the thing itself was just fricking stupid
The end to Cupid Ye, that's when they truly went full circle and became the EXACT thing they went out to make fun of back in the 90s. It's true what they say, you either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.
Damn what shit taste, i hate musicals too but it's actually a musical i love since they take the piss out of it. They have always been great at musicals and the movie is still fantastic
Anything in the last 15 years really, it's two old rich homosexuals doing pop culture stuff way too late and showing how out of touch they are or whatever was on the news that very week.
>doing pop culture stuff way too late
Like what, a month late? That's still better than The Simpsons, doing shit years late, like the iphone, or the fricking harlem shake
I dont get the hate for PC principal. I thought it was perfectly over the top to fit the outlandish nature of the whole PC thing. Also, 'pussy crushing' - how can that not be funny
I'll never understand why people hate this one so much, it's really not that bad. You do realize funnybot is supposed to be unfunny and a parody of what normies think is funny.
Out of S1-S9, Tenorman for destroying Cartman's character out of spite for the fans that liked him. S6 is up there too with trying to do a continuous season long storyline that simply doesn't work with the format.
I think funnybot is the best episode of south park, in my opinion
Most ppl who say it's a bad episode don't seem to understand that it's heavy satire. At least, that's how I look at it. Most ppl seem to see it as a stupid episode being stupid for the sake of being stupid. A lot of ppl don't seem to understand when south park does things really stupid it's not supposed to be taken at face value, it's usually under many layers of satire. I love funnybot because I love very heavy satire. Funnybot seems to satirize all of comedy itself. The fact funnybot evolved to the point of killing ppl and eventually trying to destroy the world, to subvert expectations, is a statement on comedy, imo. For example, someone like me, a 20 year old, isn't gonna find a comedian from the 1940s funny because comedy has evolved so much, and is so satirical, comedy from back then just doesn't hit anymore. Funnybot poses the question "if comedy keeps evolving the way it is, and keeps getting more and more satirical, will we eventually start killing ppl or doing terrible things irl for the sake of satirical comedy?"
Some episodes are outdated. For example, member Butters' Very Own Episode in S5? Trey and Matt portrayed 4 people as murderers: OJ, Condit and the Ramsey couple. Turns out Condit and the Ramsey couple were innocent, and there is proof nowadays of their innocence. Even Trey and Matt think that episode is outdated and regret making that episode. Also, in Butt Out Trey and Matt wrote that second-hand smoking doesn't kill, and that is outdated information. So while entire episodes aren't outdated, parts of some episodes are.
>Ramsey couple were innocent
The chances of a invader doing all that shit to the little girl AND writing the note without being caught by the parents is basically impossible and you are a fricking moron. You may as well say it was the cause of supernatural forces because that would be somehow more feasible
Nta, but the murderer used a handmade garrote, that was wound so tight they didn't see it was embedded in Jonbenet's throat. That's a sadosexual device. I don't believe any of the Ramseys did that. It smacks of an intruder. But the ransom note smacks of an inside job. Maybe the parents found her, panicked and thought their son had whacked her, so put together the ransom plot.
For me it was that after 2008 and 2012 elections, they had an episode about it ready and running the next day. From what I remember it wouldn't be hard to substitute the other candidate into them if Obama lost, but still it seemed like a cool tradition.
In 2016, despite shilling that the episode is again airing the day after election, they had to skip a week as they had nothing prepared for when Trump wins. I'm euro so I didn't care about the result one way or another, but at that moment it became apparent to me how one-sided they were, and an illusion of a show shitting on everyone equally broke.
I think I watched one more season after that, but it was never the same. It didn't help that quality went to shit anyway.
>What's the absolute lowest point of the series for you?
What everyone else has said
mainly when they started those season-long arcs
All the Garrison as Trump/PC Principal/Tegridy Farms shit
that and all the backpedalling of older episodes like making fun of trannies and climate change
I remember the last episode I watched when I was younger being the sex addiction one and I just lost all interest in it after that.
People told me it got good again later and I watched a later season and it had gotten even worse.
I've thought cartman always being the butt of every joke and failing miserably every time for so long has gotten boring, like earlier on when he masterminded Scott tenorman's parents (with the irony of him killing his own dad in the process being good, he wins and loses at the same time) dying and fed them to him, Kyle and Stan remark they should never make him mad again, but he's been completely biteless for like 20 seasons since
The mysterion/coon shit was so fricking gay
They seriously intended people to watch South Park for the drama for like half a season. What the frick were they thinking?
The school shooting episode. I fricking hate it when homosexuals from Hollywood act like they're only ones who see shit, it's exactly why I hated Don't Look Up, the whole premise of both is, "maaaan isn't insane we as a society are ignoring school shootings and clime change???" EXCEPT WE AREN'T YOU FRICKING homosexualS, BOTH HAVE BEEN HOT BUTTON TALKING POINTS FOR FRICKING DECADES NOW, HOW OUT OF TOUCH DO YOU NEED TO BE TO NOT RECOGNIZE HOW MUCH THIS SHIT GETS RAMMED DOWN OUR THROATS EVERY GODDAMN DAY?
>DUDE OH MY SCIENCE ITS HECKIN CTHULU
Idk if I was getting older but that 3 parter with cthulu felt stupid and unfunny and marked the beginning of the end
I can't pin it down, but it's one of the specials, other than first covid special. That was pretty funny, but every other special was absolutely abhorrent. A lot of preaching. They also can't write a decent story, and forgot how to be funny. Only thing is now the stories is stretched over multiple 45 minute specials. Fricking garbage. The point of no return for me is season 19. Most episodes then just seem to be spewing the news while preaching the popular opinion. It's like they forgot they got popular by being contrarian/counter to popular media. Worst was S20, and all the Tegrity shit. I already heard enough about Trump on every other channel, and nobody gives a shit about weed anymore; it's not edgy anymore.
>Hollywood is a multi-tiered industry run by tens of thousands of people from all over the world
disingenuous horseshit. tens of thousands of people don't "run" anything. valets and janitors and receptionists and interns and wardrobe coordinators and set designers and craft-services do not "run" hollywood. the people in charge of the studios run hollywood. he could've just explained the history of hollywood and the israeli connection to vaudeville and it would've been a fine enough explanation, but he chose to outright lie about it instead as if dennis the dough-nut boy has any say in what the studios make or how they make it.
TOOK ER JERBS >Trey and Matt did it because they're libertarian israelites who want corporations to be able to exploit cheap labor >Midwit libs love it because...they're libs with no original ideas
For me it's denying the climate change and making fun of Al Gore
Lmao they said sorry for that and then we learned that Al Gore was a fraud and his documentary was just propaganda to push for biofuel of which he is the main investor.
For me, it was the episode where they pretended to believe in climate hysteria and apologized to Al Gore.
>Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow
>ManBearPig
>Red Man's Greed
When will they retract Death Camp of Tolerance? homosexuals.
This but the opposite, the one where they apologize to al gore is super cringe
This. Once Nu-South Park started backtracking on the jokes and messages of classic South Park I knew it was over the series.
You're a homosexual that thinks changing your mind as you learn things is wrong, aren't you
Climate change isn’t real though
Except they didn't learn things, they just got more emotional as time went on. The arguments never changed they just got emotionally swayed to change their minds.
that episode was pretty funny with cartman smuggling a bunch of fake treasure up his ass
tegridy farms
boring stuff
also and also when they made fun of the god emperor drumpf!!!

t. non-american
That and the war on terror. I didn't give a shit about the subject matter, it was just up it's own ass and not funny.
Imaginationland was more of a movie
They've had multi-episode arcs since kyle was at that israelite camp with Moses in like season 3

Most of them suck, but Kyle's dad being a vicious internet troll cracked me up. SoDoSoPa had its moments.
yes it was funny until they used Rick Roll for the 3rd or 4th time and called it a perfect trolling. What the frick was that shit? It ruined the entire episode.
God this story was so bad and boring

Erasing the entire internet requires a fundamental misunderstaning of what it is. Which is fine if it's a joke but not a dramatic resolution.
Tegridy Farms was painfully unfunny and boring
anything after around season 10 with rare exceptions (airsoft ep) is the same level of shitty to me. show fell off hard but its not simpsons level of walking corpse yet.

The deep freeze in the basement where they kept the meat broke, and they didn't know about it until after the meat inside had started to rot, so they had to throw it all out. All of that pork got thrown into the pigpen, which means the pigs were eating their own mother. Farm life is something else.
Honestly the Chtlulu storyline was pretty weak and cringe
For me it's the "shellfishness" "joke" from the ccovid specials, only really because/especially since Matt and Trey (supposedly, though maybe I've been misinformed) used to be freedom loving libertarians, that shit kinda shits on the message/spirit of something like the old voting episode with P. Diddy
What it completely spits on is the correct attitude toward c*vid was their attitude towards SARS.
Totally, it really wasn't a big deal, I got it twice and all I really needed was a Gatorade and like a 4 hour nap and I was fine.
yeah doing the COVID episode in like 2007 and then backtracking was so pathetic
that season where kyle's dad is an internet troll. I think that's as low as it goes for south park.
Have they apologized for this episode?
Yes in the title of the episode.
When Garrison was being trump or some shit
Imaginationland
i thought the ending was kinda disgusting.
Tegridy farms was not funny, but strangely it gave them a new 'base' that some of the stories worked with, but trying to extract humor from tegridy farms as the thing itself was just fricking stupid
Their hilarious spergout during the 2016 election
they are pushing for a new low with each new episode, it's clear Tray doesn't write them anymore
The end to Cupid Ye, that's when they truly went full circle and became the EXACT thing they went out to make fun of back in the 90s. It's true what they say, you either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.
PC Principal
the Coon shit wasn't too great either
The Coon episodes were exhausting as frick
The fricking movie which was a fricking musical for some reason, I hate musicals.
Damn what shit taste, i hate musicals too but it's actually a musical i love since they take the piss out of it. They have always been great at musicals and the movie is still fantastic
that movie holds up better than most things from 1999
Even though you die, La Resistance lives on.
The Mole was the best character
>Will never experience Kinnobal the Musical
Your loss
congrats, you earned the shittiest opinion of the day award
Anything in the last 15 years really, it's two old rich homosexuals doing pop culture stuff way too late and showing how out of touch they are or whatever was on the news that very week.
>doing pop culture stuff way too late
Like what, a month late? That's still better than The Simpsons, doing shit years late, like the iphone, or the fricking harlem shake
Just because The Simpsons is worse doesn’t mean anything. South Park is dead.
Everything after season 2
how come matt and trey arent being crucified for this today?
they literally tell my garrison in the episode that he will never be a woman
I prefer Chad Garrison
I dont get the hate for PC principal. I thought it was perfectly over the top to fit the outlandish nature of the whole PC thing. Also, 'pussy crushing' - how can that not be funny
It was funny for at most a few episodes, not funny enough to carry a whole character to stay for so long
BARUBURA SUTUREISANDU
This was the worst the show ever got in my opinion.
The startling and the superhero trilogy with the BP drilling and Cthulu got close as well.
seriously what the frick was that episode (funnybot)?
>t. german
the scene where the Germans bust in with guns and Cartman tries to negotiate with them was funny
PC Principal and Garrison Trump are the reasons I stopped watching. "You're getting old" was where South Park should have ended.
You sure they really believed smoke wasn’t harmful?
Did they ever catch that Puerto Rican guy?
>Ramsey couple were innocent
The chances of a invader doing all that shit to the little girl AND writing the note without being caught by the parents is basically impossible and you are a fricking moron. You may as well say it was the cause of supernatural forces because that would be somehow more feasible
Wtf elmo
I'm on to you, some Puerto Rican guy.
Around season 8 or 9 when every episode was focused on Cartman.
I think the focus on Randy is way worse.
The Pewdiepie episode, it was exactly like a generic Simpsons celebrity cameo episode where they just sucked off the celebrity.
>What's the absolute lowest point of the series for you?
What everyone else has said
mainly when they started those season-long arcs
All the Garrison as Trump/PC Principal/Tegridy Farms shit
that and all the backpedalling of older episodes like making fun of trannies and climate change
I haven't super kept up but whenever every episode became 1-3 jokes stretched out for 20+ minutes.
I remember the last episode I watched when I was younger being the sex addiction one and I just lost all interest in it after that.
People told me it got good again later and I watched a later season and it had gotten even worse.
Everything after season 18
I stopped watching after the election arc.
Jakovasaurs
I've thought cartman always being the butt of every joke and failing miserably every time for so long has gotten boring, like earlier on when he masterminded Scott tenorman's parents (with the irony of him killing his own dad in the process being good, he wins and loses at the same time) dying and fed them to him, Kyle and Stan remark they should never make him mad again, but he's been completely biteless for like 20 seasons since
the entirety of the trolling arc with the danish
no moment was funny, not even bawd hunt
The mysterion/coon shit was so fricking gay
They seriously intended people to watch South Park for the drama for like half a season. What the frick were they thinking?
when it went from stop motion to cgi
episode 2?
literally only the pilot was stop motion
PC Principal.
It's like they decided to point out a problem by making an extreme version (daily school shootings) but forgot to add any sort of insight or point.
>DUDE OH MY SCIENCE ITS HECKIN CTHULU
Idk if I was getting older but that 3 parter with cthulu felt stupid and unfunny and marked the beginning of the end
Season 20
TOOK ER JERBS
>Trey and Matt did it because they're libertarian israelites who want corporations to be able to exploit cheap labor
>Midwit libs love it because...they're libs with no original ideas
Just moronic.
