Whats the Appeal of Deadpool to me Every fricking thing about him is annoying & Ryan Reynolds playing him with all the shitty marketing is even more fricking annoying
>I get wil wheaton feelings anytime i think about Ryan Reynolds

do not redeem sir
The appeal is that it's a joke character making fun of his own genre.
But in this specific case, the appeal to the masses is mostly Wolverine coming back and the other cameos.
The movies take themselves way too seriously. They have family guy style gags but its played very straight forward. Ryan reynolds is also awful.
Thriller!
>why isn't this particular movie catering to MY tastes?
>>why isn't this particular movie catering to MY tastes?
only movies panders to me SHOULD EXIST
Americans are so downtrodden and exploited for labor that they revel in the catharsis provided by characters who are exceptional, above everyone else, and always get the last word. It’s a power fantasy for the powerless. You get a customer who treats you like garbage or a boss that humiliates you in front of coworkers and you just have to suffer in silence. Then you go home and watch Walter White or Tony Soprano or Rick Sanchez or Tony Stark and get a fun little buzz imagining if only you lived as a charmed a life that you had all the power. Then you go to sleep and wake up and do it all over again.
While I agree, I think it's safe to say this isn't an uniquely American thing.
he's r*ddit incarnate
Sounds like a you problem. Maybe stop being angry about everything?
than life will lose it meaning what if i stop being angry let someone in & get hurt
wtf, is hugh a mouth breather?
He's method acting Wolverine
Ryan’s Deadpool has barely anything to do with the actual character. Nolan North’s portrayal is the real deal.
?si=4KdSUB8fZ3WZhjA6
>he thinks this is significantly different and that something of value has not translated to the movies
lmao
Yeah.
?si=T48VifNI6BgM-pto
He's the only cape character that's allowed to be both silly and offensive nowadays.
but he isnt "DEADPOOL: he is Ryan Reynolds
You seem confused, Ryan Reynolds is playing the character Deadpool, you see actors, act as different characters in this case the actor Ryan Reynolds is acting as the character Deadpool, hope this clears things up
Is Jackman ever going to wear the mask? Just wear the fricking mask, gramps. It's over.
Deadpool has the Joker problem, popular for being smarmy instead of actually funny. Also all these movies completely ignore that his humor is cope for not being a good guy.
Some actors play to a type. Nothing wrong with that. If it makes money and audiences like it, that actor will play that same character (if only in personality and not by name) as many times as they can. Deadpool is Van Wilder and Van Wilder is Otter from Animal House. They got the actor who played Otter to play Van Wilder’s dad. The appeal of this character is similar to a power fantasy, but more like a court jester. He moves through the world aware of how it operates but floats just above it. Van Wilder is a seventh year senior undergraduate- you should see him as pathetic. Yet because he’s the coolest guy on the planet who gets the girl, you can’t help but fantasize about being him. But then you never actually become your hero. And it’s for this reason that you should recognize the fan base of all superhero movies as pitiful.
the type of marketing they are doing i dont think PEOPLE LIKE IT
But they are playing on nerd culture so much they are buring consent from people before the movie comes out so when it comes out thse who think its shit are shunned
Reynolds based his Deadpool on the worst written and most damaging run of Deadpool. I will never forgive him for this and if I see him in public I will yell and spit at him.
Please bring back that girl who played X23 who is now an adult and has a sexy body.
BrraaaaaaaAAAAAAaaaP
> sorry Ryan didn't see you down there
She, Daniel Radcliffe, Karl Urban and some other people all play multiverse Wolverines. The Radcliffe bit is shown in the trailer where DP approaches him from behind at a card table and there's a comedy reveal.
Is she a cameo or recurring
Oh, so it's Radcliffe playing Patch?
>Every fricking thing about him is annoying
Expect "BuT tHat'S ThE pOinT" responses
annoying to other people IN the movie vs Annoying for the auidence
Why is there a reference to Indian Thriller?
KALIMA
Love deadpool comics
Hate Hollywood deadpool movies
this. though i don't even read the comics, but at least they take themselves a bit more seriously than the movies. which focus almost solely on the humor, makes it hard to get invested in anything.
especially the 2nd movie with that fat ass shitskin aussie kid.
holy shit he ruined the whole movie for me.
Brolins cable was the only good thing about the deadpool movies, everything else is shit
i wanted cable to kill the kid, knew the story wouldnt allow him to, but damn did i want to see it.
Why didn't Uncanny X-Men run longer, bros?
Cinemaphile likes douchebags
He is to male redditors what suicide squad harley quinn is to facebook bawds.
comedy slop to appeal to the lowest common denominator of viewers.
deadpool and SS harley have that "comedic" misanthropy that the gays from channels like the nerdist and other "heckin' pop cultureino!" channels think is a good personality trait.
anything to have edgier humor without actually offending anyone.
Same, OP. There's not a cell in my body that is even remotely interested in Deadpool. Never seen them and never will. To each his own I guess.
I wanted to see Deadpool 2 because the trailers would always feature heavily at one point that they were adding some regular dude who "just saw the ad" join their squad, and thought the premise of that could be incredibly funny. Then it turned out it was a one time gag then killed in the very next scene. I felt scammed to be honest. I hate superhero movies and somehow that reeled me in. Frick deadpool
Reynolds is a fun dude. The first one did great...the second one...well...it's a movie with good parts.
This just cannot be a great movie, but may be a passable movie with a couple of chuckles.
Only time will tell, and box office.
it's for marvel gays to argue that they're watching an adult film
>Indian Ermac
Mortal Kombat MCU Crossover looking good.
Redditpool is pretty exhausting, but I am curious to see what they'll use him for in the MCU. It seems like they're literally going to use him to fix everything since he can break the forth wall. With their failed Phase 4 and 5, and the loss of Kang, I don't really think they have any choice. They need Deadpool to Daffy Duck his way across the multiverse. I don't really think they're going to have much use for him outside of that. I can't really imagine him being on a team where he isn't the center of attention and being obnoxious. I get that it's his character, but I really don't want Deadpool to dominate the next Avengers movie. Maybe they'll tone him down or something. But do we really need another fricking quipper? We already have Spider-Man.
>It seems like they're literally going to use him to fix everything since he can break the forth wall. With their failed Phase 4 and 5, and the loss of Kang, I don't really think they have any choice.
He can't magically get actors to sign new contracts. The real problem with the MCU is that 90% of the characters people liked are gone.
I don't know what the frick they were thinking. This whole new phase could have been the Fox Universe vs MCU in a Time Runs Out/Secret Wars. It could have been the lineup from Infinity War against the X-Men and Fantastic Four.
>This whole new phase could have been the Fox Universe vs MCU in a Time Runs Out/Secret Wars.
The Fox crossover stuff was a mistake. Feige was a producer on those films so he wanted to get those characters in the MCU but really they should have recast the X-Men years ago. There could have been an MCU X-Men movie already out. That's what people thought they were going to do like they did with Spider-Man.
>But do we really need another fricking quipper? We already have Spider-Man.
MCU Spidey doesn't even quip though. He's all "Aw jeez, I'm sorry guys. Hope no one is mad at me :("
the appeal is he pisses off redditor tourists
he was the hecking funny hero with quips and fourth wall breaks, but now all of them are like that. movie will flop
Remember the original leaked script from like 2013 where Deadpool comes up with his costume by flipping a rubber Spider-Man mask inside out? Good times.
>Deadsir the Redeemoor
Looks keeno my basterds.
>indian deadpool dresses as michael jackson from thriller
oh shit, wait, is that the cab driver from the first two movies? is that the joke, that the indian cab driver in another universe becomes deadpool instead and dresses like michael jackson?
Ryan Reynolds is not funny and his interpretation of Deadpool is basically just him doing jokes. That's why the movies have been bad.
Similar situation to Chris Hemsworth and Thor recently. Chris isn't even acting when playing Thor anymore, it's just him cracking bad jokes and that's why the Thor movies suck now.
More like Ryan Reddit.
The trailer was less than half as popular on reddit as the trailers for previous Deadpool films. It's literally over.
anon
https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2024/02/13/deadpool-3-wolverine-super-bowl-trailer-breaks-record-most-views/?sh=5f1efdd25a59
They counted linear Super Bowl viewership in that number, so anyone who watched the game counts as a view even though they only played a 30 second spot on TV. Without those viewers the trailer got 242 Million views in a 24 hour period. Which is the 6th most viewed trailer between Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
I never really liked the Deadpool movies since Ryan is obnoxious, but they were okay for a sideshow for the main attraction. At this point though the entire thing is on its last legs and movies like these are supposed to "save" it all.
I don't see it happening.
This movie has the MCU stink all over it, down to the dogshit green screen.
of course it does, the marvels was a gigantic failure, there's a modicum of hype for deadpool 3, so they're going to latch onto it has much as possible to try and squeeze what they can out of it
You should read the leaks. This anon
is dead on. They know this is going to be a hit because it's DP and doesn't have MCU stink all over it so they are stealthily shoving the future of the MCU in it.
Movie leads directly into Secret Wars, the next big MCU event and brings the X-Men in. The Beyonder who likely will be replacing Kang as the next villain is also set up.
>secret wars
as a non-comic book reader (along with 95% of MCU's audience), i can't wait for the endless, insufferable youtube nerd community paid for hype for this. then it ultimately failing because secret wars has no meaning to anyone who doesn't read the comics.
That poster just explained why it has relevance to people that watch the movies, you illiterate dipshit.
oh yeah man, because people gave so much of a shit about kang in antman 3 since he's such a well known villain... oh wait.
get real you stupid fricking homosexual.
secret wars is going to fall flat because no one cares about the MCU anymore, not since it's only powerhouse character (ironman) died.
>blah blah blah
Kang was shit, I don't see anyone arguing with you, and Secret Wars is going to fail because MCU is dead thanks to DEI and wokeism, not because Tony died. They've trashed the place and the only reason why Deadpool 3 is still going to be good is because it was closely guarded and fought for by people that cared about it instead of letting lestronkwomans get to it.
Deadpool 3 is the last breath of the MCU. It's over after that.
you type like a total homosexual who thinks his voice is the most important.
please have a nice day at the earliest possible moment.
It is more important than your opinion since you couldn't even defend your great idea that
>it's over because iron man gone
you plebeian b***h.
That sounds stupid, multiverse cameos are played out.
Why is Reynold's stunt double literally a FOOT shorter than him? Kek
To save money on pleather.
Why isnt wolverine wearing mask? Are they gonna cgi it in?
