Nah, MTV should be one to follow. Despite early CGI and cold initial reception, it’s the closest we have to accurately portraying Peter’s horny college years, and in the light of ever-worsening adaptations, it’s fair to bump it up to one of the better ones.
I enjoyed MTV's darker tone. School-shooter Electro and horror monster Lizard are pretty cool takes and I wish the show didn't dance around Peter's rogue gallery trying to fit itself into Raimi continuity and went full-on adapting comic-book villains. I'm sure it would've had a much warmer reception if it did so.
>MTV's darker tone
It could be wild. >Peter meets nerdy asian cutey >mind control twins trick him into throwing her off a roof >ends the show in a fricking comma
Spectacular. Behind it, the 90s series was really flawed but the voice casting and some of the handling of specific characters (like Kingpin, Peter, Jonah, and Scorpion) were pretty definitive.
The 60s show gets third for being fun.
My take on 94 vs Spectacular is this.
94's highs are really good and I think some things are much better than Spectacular (mainly takes on characters such as Kraven, Mysterio and Vulture or the fact that it adapts some really cool stories like The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man) but holy shit the lows are really low.
Spectacular is more consistent (judging by Young Justice that's the virtue of its short run) but never gets the chance to adapt any deeper cut stories than what's expected.
I watched the first episode and they're setting up Peter and his friend as a gay couple from some yaoi anime.
100% Fujoshi bait and I dropped it right away.
Older I gotten more I like how 90's Spider-Man did it's own thing and was just directly doing the comics all the time like Spectacular also Unlimited has the best artstyle I love the backgrounds and solid black shading while Spectacular has the best animaton.
90s just had everything: great spin on most villains, well developed side characters, well balanced tone thats suitable for both kids and adults (other SM shows lack of this, i cant watch them without getting bored very quickly), decent fights, solid plots and 90s Peter is just my favorite version of the character, he is very well balanced there.
If you can forgive the animation, '94 by leaps and bounds with Spectacular as a respectable second, also by a an overwhelming margin to 3rd place.
If you can't, Spectacular at first with '94 at second.
The fact that Spidey shows have been such trash overall is really disheartening.
My favorite age for Peter is mid 20s like in the PS4 video game, where he's 23. He's been out of school for a while but still hasn't quite gotten his shit together because of the whole Spider-Man thing.
90s and spectacular
Followed by Unlimited, then Ultimate or the MCU one all the way at the bottom.

I ‘unno, the MTV one is p solid
This, though the 60’s cartoon has a lot of charm too
Bingo.
Mid row left but it did have lots of reused scenes.

its 94' one and im tired to see contrarians spewing wrong opinions

LIVING ON THE EDGE
FIGHTING CRIME
SPINNING WEBS
Spider-verse, any other answer is just nostalgia cope.
three to seven are all good
anything after spectacular is just offensive trash that should be lost to time
Marvels spider-man is actually disgusting. Funny how after Disney bought marcel Spider-man cartoons went to shit
Somehow it's worse than Ultimate. It's just empty and the visuals show that.
Marvel*
The setting and dynamics between peter and everyone else feels so weird, it doesn’t feel like spider-man at all
The 2017 show was genuine trash. I don’t understand how they thought they could get away with that.

Sure as hell isn’t those last two
VILLAIN'S ON THE RISE
AND THE CITY'S VICTIMIZED
LOOKING UP WITH NO SURPRISE
ARRIVING IN THE SPEED OF TIIIIIME
How hard would it have been to just add some shading? The show would’ve still been bad, but at least it wouldn’t look so flat and lazy.
SPIDER-MAN
SPIDER-MAN
RADIOACTIVE SPIDER-MAN
MTV MJ has some massive breasts
TMS really went hard on those first few eps, it's shame the editing so choppy.
Older I gotten more I like how 90's Spider-Man did it's own thing and was just directly doing the comics all the time like Spectacular also Unlimited has the best artstyle I love the backgrounds and solid black shading while Spectacular has the best animaton.
I do hate the choppy overly fast editing of the 90's show but I enjoy the show the most out of them all.
My brain tells me #7, but my heart will always have a soft spot for #2 &3, since they were my first.
Spectacular, 60's, '94, '81 solo series in that order.
I love how Peter's tux literally explodes into shreds after he burns off the cable.
I like the little detail of Peter protecting his head from damage.

You're fired!
For all it's faults I do hold a special love for 94. It's still the voice I read Spidey in.
If you can forgive the animation, '94 by leaps and bounds with Spectacular as a respectable second, also by a an overwhelming margin to 3rd place.
If you can't, Spectacular at first with '94 at second.
The fact that Spidey shows have been such trash overall is really disheartening.
I just really want more shows about adult Spider-man. Even in regards to Spectacular I am so sick of high school shit.
My favorite age for Peter is mid 20s like in the PS4 video game, where he's 23. He's been out of school for a while but still hasn't quite gotten his shit together because of the whole Spider-Man thing.
67' and Unlimited > everything else
i'm kinda curious, is there anyone here who's actually willing to defend ultimate and 2017?
I want to know too.
If you like those shows, let's hear your justifications.
Nothing even comes close.
