Between Ronin and Sega GT, there was a small community of Peugeot fans in America for about 20 minutes. Like a flash in the pan version of the Alfa Romeo fans.

Peugeot should thank the french taxi movies for making their mom sedans look cool.
Also lowkey Luc Besson's most entertaining movie
Peugeot cars were often used in rally. Just because they have shit quality doesn't mean performance is bad too. 205GTI remains icon of 80s-90s hothatch. The 406 sedan from Ronin had V6 generating like 200 horses. Perhaps even better, if not at least comparable with BMW in the movie.
They weren't motivated by romance, they fugged once so he later tipped her off and revealed his identity. He had a stronger bond with Jean Reno (and the "romance" was probably thrown in there to make it clear Robert's character wasn't gay)
Watched it purely for the car scenes... Wasn't really worth it tbh, could've just watched the clips on YouTube, the rest of the movie is pretty mediocre. Also I thought it would be an M3, M5s are cool too but you could really tell how that car is too much of a heavy land barge to drive fast in small euro streets.
That English actresses Irish accent made this unwatchable.
I lasted 10 mins.
I believe this film is lauded for it's action. I now realise as an adult i prefer movies to be at least 80% dialog and the less "action" the better.
It's like "action scenes" are for sports fans that accidentally watched a movie.
Sean Bean dies
He does? I always remember him just fricking off because he got scared after that gun fight
He goes back

Cool movie, very underrated. I'll watch anything with Jean Reno in it.

that comfy scene with Sam and Vincent in the cafe at the end
My favorite scene is when they take pictures at the hotel.
Probably one of the worst romance plots i've ever seen,no chemistry.
Bold choice to use a Peugeot for a car chase with a BMW tho

Nothing if you're in Italy. But importing one is fricking dumb. There's mid level shit boxes all over the planet already.

There's a scene where the driver is explaining all the shit he wants to do the car to improve performance.
