Came here to say this. After going out of their way to change Kamala's powers, they then design the entire end credit sequence around art from the actual comic books. Which is fine, its not a bad idea in a vacuum in an advertising sort of way, but the chose art from the comics where she is using her powers. Powers that she doesn't have in the show. Which just seems dumb.

The Marvel Universe is not exactly brimming with solo teen girl superheroes, and this one has a connection to their Captain Marvel franchise, has had a recent, well-received comic run, and (let's admit) crosses some boxes important to modern Disney.
The Human Torch isn't going to be a tv character, his SFX will probably have the budget of an entire season of Ms. Marvel.
It doesn't even make business sense though, any good will you may have gotten from comic fans is gone because you changed her powers and any good will you may have gotten from the Islamic community is gone because you made her A FRICKING GENIE.
