What's the point of setting these shows in the same universe? They don't seem to share anything, not even lore. Nobody brings up ipms, hell hounds, the seven sins, the Ars Goetia, or even the other rings of hell in Hazbin Hotel.Nobody mentions Lucifer or the Sinner Overlords in Helluva Boss. Surely an Overlord would be interested in IMP? The only thing that Helluva ever brought up that was relevant to Hazbin was the angelic weaponry.

Just enjoy the show man, no need to be a buzz kill
Are they even in the same universe anymore? I thought Vivziepop retconned that because of legal issues.
She'll probably fart
the way I see it, heaven and hell are 2 separate worlds, that came to an agreement. The innercity of hell pretty much doesnt care about heaven and sinners. They live in their own utopia, using the unhappy souls for their entertainment. Heaven has businness in culling the sinners, it seems, probably got to do with keeping the senior position in dealings with hell. For all we know, the inner and outer parts of hell are de facto distinct parts of the same world as well. The elite of one country has more in common with the elite of another country, and not with the peasants. Its pretty much consistent with how the world been working during the 18th century and onward.
Not all connected shows are meant to constanly allude to each other. Both shows are within the same universe and so far have been self-contained as to avoid unintentionally revealing information pertaining to the other. This also means we don't know *when* each show is taking place in regards to the other, which I believe is intentional.
What do you mean? Why wouldn't they be?
Hazbin Hotel is about sinners. A circle of hell and a community for people that came from earth.Helluvaboss is about the hellborn creatures. Imps and Hellhounds and the Ars Goetia. Why would they interconnect especially when we know Helluva Boss takes place in the wrath ring (I believe)? Why would imps give a shit about Sinners? Why would sinners work with imps?
It takes places primarily in the Pride ring since IMP deals with sinners for their business, but in the majority hellborn Imp City. There are references too. In episode 1 of Helluva Boss Blitz has a picture of Carmilla Carmine under boss goals because presumably he wants to frick her
The sinners are the ones that hire IMP, but I'm surprised an overlord hasn't tried to steal their magic considering they have the means to get to earth
Well that's not widely known, right? That's why they keep saying to disguise themselves and how that magic almost fell to the humans because of their recklessness. I don't imagine many sinners know about it.
Sinners can’t exist on Earth. Rumors are the other rings are opening to them in future seasons of Hazbin Hotel but as dead soils they can’t set foot on Earth at all
Which means IMF could be called upon to act as Charlie's agents when she needs something done ON Earth.
Wasn't Blitzo watching Hazbin Hotel at one point? I know that's not proof because you can just say he was watching a show but I could have sworn I've seen that.
They share lore. Helluva is about the hellborn and explores the seven circles through misadventures, acting as a world building story. Hazbin stays on the first circle only and appears to be giving more information regarding the history of their world, the overlords, and the angels through a slow drip redemption story.
They're set up to compliment each other pretty well. Hope Viv and Amazon don't frick it up.
Did people just forget that Stolas' job is to get more souls to hell? He's directly creating more sinners.
We just need to see little crossovers (NOT events).
I.e Blitzo running past Angel Dust in a random gun battle, etc.
They were originally set in the same universe when Hazbin was mostly just a pilot. Maybe the plan was different back then. Once Hazbin got picked up by a professional studio, they couldn’t cross pollinate ideas for legal reasons. That’s it, that’s the reason they don’t do crossover shit. They continue to be unofficially set in the same universe because there’s no real reason to go out of the way to change anything, and so that fanfic authors and artists can have a slightly easier time doing crossover shit.
All of Vivzie’s stuff looks the same, this is the natural conclusion of that
>Oh boy! I can't wait for more Helluva Boss! - Said no one ever
>Well well well...look who showed up for work today!
I'm surprised Viv didn't put him in Hazbin Hotel.
