        it doesn’t work.
superman has been happily married to louis for years.
why force a relationship with a magic heroine?
        superman is a scifi/cosmic hero.
his stories don’t work nearly as well with wonderwoman whose a fantasy/magic heroine.
shazam unironically WOULD make a hell lot more sense being paired with wonderwoman as weird as that sounds.
i’m not a fujoshi or shota x older women lover i’m just stating facts.

Doesn't Suoerman lean into the Supernatural himself with villains like Silver Banshee, 4th world, and Mxy. Hell his own origin ties to his own alien mystical pantheon Rao. I'm sure Supes can spin his Cosmic concept making magic is science we just don't understand yet with Wondy. Superman is as rooted in fantasy as any mystical narrative since his sci-fi is more rooted in it than a typical hard science fiction star trek, it's more like star wars.

You don't really need a strong chemistry to get together, both have a respect and a healthy opinion of each other. Plus they are naturally more attracted to powerful people so that's why they wanna frick each other. It's works for why Tony Stark gets so many one off dates with heroines.

You need to have them date normies to keep them grounded to humanity.

Demi God x human sucks balls, the human can't really give back what the demi God craves instinctually, a peer in the sack. Lois and Bruce just can't match Clark and Diana where it counts.

It's enough to make them compatible as a couple. If you treat it as realistic it won't be, but alot of fictional couples just goes simply exotic dynamics. I mean look at Yoko and Kamina for example. They get less fleshed out compared to Simon and Kamina but they're always bouncing off each other simply because they are strong personalities that go together.

Wonder Woman as a character suffers when they put her with Batman or Superman because the writers usually very clearly prefer them to her and thus write her, her mythos, her villains, etc like fricking garbage and the fans/writers of those two pairings usually see Wonder Woman as a prize (in Batman's case) or a replacement (in Superman's case)

It's literally done nothing for wonder woman.

These. Wonder woman is already struggling to have as much public identity as the other two. Making her a love interest to the more popular characters just hurts her. If she's going to have a super bf just make it someone who nobody gives a shit about like martian manhunter or hawkman

It gives her a peer and a near equal in values plus it help ties her to modern life like Steve Trevor does but with someone she can fly and keep up with, and for Superman, she allows him to embrace his linage and legacy side as God amongst men whole remaining human at the same time.

That would be nice if it was written that way but I disagree on the embrace of God amongst men.

Superman's character has never been about embracing God amongst men. Plus no one ever supports it.

There’s nothing wrong with the pair, just needs a writer who can actually just go all out with the concept instead of being limited by continuity baggage or ends up doing surface level stuff. There’s a lot that can be explored with the pair.

The basis of the pairing: “They have many cultural and biological traits that will fuel their romance. People tend to fall in love with those of the same background.

Although Superman comes from a different planet, while Wonder Woman harks from an isolated island, both are aliens to our modern world. Both also have superhuman powers so each will understand the other’s strengths–including their mutual ability to fly. More importantly, Superman and Wonder Woman share the same values and goals–essentials to a good relationship.

They are both dedicated to truth and justice; both dislike wasting time on irrelevant, trivial, or boring matters; and both fight evil to save the good—traits shared by both the high testosterone and high estrogen types. Moreover, both value personal autonomy. Each will find someone who is just as independent as themselves. She is a warrior, ready to kill her foes; he has killed and resolved never to kill again. Neither is likely to understand this fundamental difference in values. Nevertheless, this is a natural complementary match. Directors such as Superman want a mate who has the strength of character to stand up to their formidable personality. In Wonder Woman, the charming warrior, he has found his match. And in Superman, Wonder Woman will find a truly good man.” - Helen Fisher

99% of cape writers suck ass at romance, so the only reason to have romance in the first place is to explore a character's life away from their heroism. Powered+normal does that. Powered+powered does not, because they're both out heroing together, so they have no reason to stay grounded to the normal people. It's why ClarkxDiana worked in Injustice because it represented both of them losing their touch on the normal people and elevating themselves to god figures.

      Anonymous

Clark and Diana don’t need human love interests to stay grounded. They aren’t Gods, and don’t even see themselves as such. They are two outsiders who don’t belong to neither the God world or the mortal world. Injustice throws them completely under the bus and questions their core motives as heroes when they are to be heroes for everyone not just solely motivated and codependent on one human.

Isnt Diana literally a demigod or full god now?

And cant superman transmigrate to full god since he's Rao descendant?

Her origin is a mess. DC is undecided whether she has the clay origin or Zeus Dad. Either way, Diana is still an earth women even being a “DemiGod”. She is looked at as lesser to the actual Gods and herself does not want to be associated with them. Clark is equivalent to a Sun God, Apollo, and can rival them in power.

They have no actual romantic chemistry. The only reason people ship them is because they're both superpowered. That's not the basis for a long lasting relationship.

            Anonymous

Because both Bruce and Steve brings her human side and tones down the Warrior, and both can take down an Amazon by their own.
Every moronic pairing with superman she is a crazy manipulative b***h who cares only about maiming people also she even pondered about killing lois once, and their children are sociopaths.

Wonder Woman’s whole character is trying to redeem even who seems to the most irredeemable. The only time she kills is the absolute last resort or hack writers leaning far too much on the generic warrior

People forgot that behind the Amazon, there is Diana Prince, but even that was stolen from her thanks to She-Hulk, who did a better job post Crisis.

And then you have DCAU Wonder Woman, who started to soften out after she started to hang more with Batman.

              Anonymous

What? Batman doesn’t bring out anything when he is emotionally stunted and barely acts human unless he is with the Robins or Alfred and even that varies. The only thing with that is writers trying to have Diana as a therapist or nurse for Batman. She “softens” in DCAU to be a flirt in which Batman rejects her. But was a total uptight Princess and definitely wasn’t a representative of sisterhood, feminism nor compassion when it came to Hawkgirl. Steve is barely relevant.
Diana herself is in tune with nature and loves life and exploring.
The “Diana” you described is just injustice Diana in which her biggest negative influence to become the manipulative b***h was Nazi Steve. She is tougher and take more risks than Clark but everything else is false when comes to her relationship with Clark.

Wonder Woman post Crisis is a degenerate extremist sickfrick when she is with superman
It is the equivalent of old Emma Frost and the b***h from Injustice

When she is with Batman or Steve Trevor, Batman and Steve brings the woman in her and her human side.
But as of Recently, DC removed that from her due to the garbage movies with gal gadot.

it's been said that WW and Superman basically switched personalities. Pre-crisis Diana would take time out her day to do mundane things like watch a baby(the twist being that the baby got super growth formula and could become gigantic) to just mingle with people. Superman used to be more surly, if he got a bunch of people asking for Autographs, he's grumble a bit in his head and plan a super distraction so he could return to patrol.
