And as such it's pretty enjoyable to me. Never liked tumblr, but can appreciate picking up a weird niche a decade after it's already dead. It kinda feels like a really fricking bad John Wick. Or a really terrible Expendables. A callback to a clusterfrick of genres, tropes and ideas.
It's still kinda bad. The over the top tell-don't-show shit with Alastor, the incredibly detached and cringy way relationships are handled etc. Like, overall this thing feels as if it was done by a sheltered 16 year old tumblr girl whos biggest worry in life was missing the latest MCR album.
You can't "fix" Hazbin, without it also losing what makes it Hazbin. And I'd rather have this honest but shitty abomination than another assembly line product.
