The first conjuring film is probably the closest I've been to scare from a movie. Everything pre 2000 is too dated and campy to be scary. Blair Witch was scary before everyone realized it was fake. So yeah,
objectively? i don’t know i haven’t watched many horror movies (at all). but i liked paranormal activity (2007), blair witch project and lake mungo.
paranormal activity is probably the furthest i’d go with jumpscares / demon stuff. anything beyond that and it’s more cheesy than it is scary (eg paranormal activity 4/5, annabelle movies)
>be a zoombrain >hear about some scary movie from my grandpas time like 50 years ago >go to youtube and type in "scary movie scariest moment" >watch a car commercial because my little zoombrain doesn't know how to install an adblocker >watch a two minute, out of context, clip in standard definition >no lead in, no build up, no idea who the characters are or what the conflict is >BRUH DAT SHIT AINT LIT AT ALL >go to twitch and donate $20 to LilyPichu >LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I came.
What movie?
The video of NAFO troons in fursuits.

You're gonna love Phantom Chariot and Haxan
a horrifying vision of our dystopia
Jurassic Park in the theaters when I was 5 years of age

if you want to be scared, you should play a horror video game.
if you want spooky atmosphere and practical effects, watch a horror movie.
Fear and humor are subjective
eating a bunch of shit before bed
(activates the hell of the body, the digestive system, and brings up that energy to your psyche)
The Grifter.
similar scene but executed much better
this shit made me laugh out loud. lynchtards are so delusional.
For me it's "The Legend of Hell House" - the 1973 version, not the shitty Netflix drama.
Ju On, The Ring, The Eye.
