Fine. I'll decide. I don't care. They suck. They could have the same opinion as me for the next 100 movies I see and they would stil suck and be wrong.
It is a sham site and user scores will often be inflated, but a lot of people will still go "I wonder what the Rotten Tomato score is", I use to be one of them. But there is no other well known alternative.
>people with influence in Hollywood really do not care for animation and see at most 1-2 animated films a year with their children
I guess no matter how obvious a fact is there's always gonna be someone learning it for the first time.
>complaining about Wish being there
Disney is always gonna push for nomination, it’s basically expected >NOT complaining that the piece of shit Super Mario Bros movie has somehow also been nominated despite being total trash
This is the real crime of this Twitter post.
Why does it strike me as they made their nominations BEFORE the movie came out? There's no way anyone would willingly nominate Wish if they knew it was as bad as it was.
Shinkai makes some gorgeous looking movies. But he really needs to get a better writer.
Suzume was achingly beautiful. Heartbreaking for how good it looked compared to how fricking sappy its script was.

All their movies are the fricking same even if the artstyle is fantastic
Say what you will about Wish, it may not have stuck the landing, but it did one thing all of other movies were too afraid to do, it made the viewers think. It challenged them and didn't treat them as idiots making them uncomfortable and even question whether (obvious) villain Magnifico is even supposed to be the bad guy. Intelligence is frightening.
Some sites do anonymous polls of voters on what they vote on an why; they don't even watch half the live action movies, and it's rare if they watch more than one animated film. For animated films the vote largely just goes to whatever they feel is a safe option or sometimes they'll vote differently if they have a kid relative who goes nuts about a particular film.
>what’s up with awards being a sham
welcome to the real world
can you guys decide wether you care about rotten tomatoes or not?
you can't have it both ways

It's a tool for shills so I don't respect them but if even your shills are after you I'll laugh about it
You already know what's up with that

He probably is.

>because I said so
moron

Chicken Run will flop
They're critics. Not academy voters.
>if they knew it was as bad as it was.
You make it sound as if people are seriously expected to watch these things
>caring about industry awards
I don't know if there is a more dumb thing to pay attention to in all of entertainment
>caring about awards
Most smooth-brain shit ever
Is anyone but me glad that this hasn't been forgotten? Don't forget also that it's a SONY film too.

it only worked because the film was so stupid it didn't take more than one brain cell to notice that the roles of characters were completely switched

Nimona is fricking garbage.

The gays actually did it!
>remove Godzilla Minus One from the Top rated and give his Userscore to Wish
