What an unironically moronic fricking name.

All the names in those books are moronic, but my favorite is "ser" instead of "sir".

        Anonymous

That's just old-timey English for sir. It's still moronic, because every other word the characters say is in modern English, but Martin didn't invent the term "ser" is all I'm saying.

    > Cleaned my wounds, sewed me up, and fed me porridge and potions until I was strong enough to ride again. And she sewed up the rents in my cloak as well, with some scarlet silk from Asshai that her grandmother had pulled from the wreck of a cog washed up on the Frozen Shore. It was the greatest treasure she had, and her gift to me. -ASOS, Jon I

Not necessarily. If North America didn't exist, a wreckage from China could be washed up in some shore in Ireland but there would still be an unknown large landmass, that is, South America.

D&D are such unbelievable idiots. Arya is a fricked up character that can't have any normal life after the events of the show. She should have either died or went on to be an assassin and spend the rest of her life cleaning up westeros from all the enemies of the starks and any kind of similar evil that's out there.
Instead she takes a boat and she becomes Dora the explorer? Why? Because she went on to play Dora in the movie? It makes no sense for her character and anyone who knows about the books knows that going into the sea will just lead to death.
Because of how D&D ended the story it's safe to assume Arya spent months in the sea getting sick and dying from scurvy, until some big monster just grabbed the ship and killed everyone.

    The east of Essos. Christ.

For some reason people think Essos and Westeros are connected by way of the north. They’re not.

We know this because the ancient Asshai’i literally just had to sail west to make contact with Oldtown and the Iron Islands.
