    Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride

Be Prepared, Just Can't Wait To Be King
    Why Should I Worry?
Do post-disney acquisition Muppets songs count? If so, Life's a Happy Song and The Interrogation Song are up there
Surface Pressure, What Else Can I Do
    Digga Tunnah
    Won't Say I'm In Love
But if I HAD to pick only one, it would probably be "Be Prepared."

Based. Tbh could do a secondary ranking of that movie's songs alone. In fact I think I will.

      S
      >We Don't Talk About Bruno
      >Dos Oruguitas
      >Surface Pressure

      A
      >What Else Can I Do
      >Welcome To The Family Madrigal
      >Colombia, Mi Encanto

      B
      >Waiting On A Miracle (actually fantastic but Mirabel doesn't have the pipes for it, ruins it with her nasal voice. if a Menzel or a Benson had this number it'd be S tier no question)
      >All Of You

A testament to the quality of the OST that nothing slips below B.

NTA but most of the songs feel really inorganic to the rest of the film, as does a lot of different elements.
I liked the flower sister’s song the most, but overall I found most of them to be really unimpressive. I don’t like how many contemporary Disney songs feel more like music videos rather than musical performances personally, like that Pressure song does.
          Doesn’t help that I don’t care for Lin-Manuel Miranda.

            >Doesn’t help that I don’t care for Lin-Manuel Miranda.
And you've identified the issue. Too many of their songs (or ones aping that style like in Wish) is that they are just over-produced. The best Disney songs are ones that are fairly straight forward, with clear lyrics, and fit organically into the movie. But so many of these modern Disney songs just become muddy overblown messes with nothing memorable about them.

I think it's hard to beat The Circle Of Life. It's beautiful, memorable, and is one of the best opening scenes of a movie ever. It just instantly wows you and gets you straight into the world. Seeing it in theaters is really something special.

I genuinely think Colors of the Wind and Just Around the Riverbend are two of the best Disney songs, does no ever talk about them because it's cool to hate Pocahontas?

      Anonymous

No one actually hates Pocahontas, there's just some midwits who like to pretend to be smart by repeating the "It's just dances with wolves" shit.

Disney however just kind of ignores it, presumably because they don't want to get into conversations about Indians and shit.

        >presumably because they don't want to get into conversations about Indians and shit
Funny how the racist governor who wants to genocide all the injuns was IRL actually a meek naive guy who got betrayed by the injuns and tortured to death.

          Anonymous

Well yeah that's kind of the point, there's huge inaccuracies and concerns on both sides so better to not get into it and from here on just make all your movies about funny animals and not real people.
