What I assume he means is "how could they ruin plausibly deniable male centered fiction" by just cutting out Richards narrative monologues that make it clear what's happening, and keeping things implied when they become too obviously WoT like.
Yeah and they get fricking BTFO by the male hero who's going insane while doing it. If you think those c**ts are presented as competent or justified in what they do you completely missed the point.
This is literally how women are, anon. They're strong womyn until they meet a Chad who doesn't bow to them, then all they can think about is getting his seed.
I've read the series multiple times since I was a young teenager. I made the mistake of watching Season 1. I won't make the mistake of watching Season 2. It's irredeemable rubbish.
Robert Jordan's heirs should be garroted metaphorically.
>Robert Jordan's heirs should be garroted metaphorically.
I'm not Harriet's biggest fan either but people need to stop blaming her for the show. Jordan sold the rights when he was alive and the production companies have gone above and beyond to make sure the rights never revert back to his estate.
He expressed his displeasure with how the studios treated the rights but knew he would never be given creative control over a film or tv adaption so he took the money and never looked back. Harriet had nothing to do with this abomination getting made.
A couple of Japanese studios were interested in an anime adaptation once. Jordan said no because they only wanted the first three books, not all of them.
Imagine the kino we have been denied through that decision.
>one day until this drops >Amazon hasn’t even bothered to shill on Twitter, Reddit, or Cinemaphile >all discourse will be overshadowed by Live Action One Piece, Ahsoka, and even the end of the weekly series drops will be overshadowed by Loki s2
I’m predicting slop, not even the shitposting kind. Just more media that has zero cultural impact
To be fair, reddit shills this show themselves by banning anyone talking shit about it, the twitter show fan circles are all cringy LARPers who pretend to be characters in the show, and based /wot/ drives out amazon shills on sight. Amazon is probably content to sleep on this piece of trash and focus on salvaging RoP
I think it’s legit better than RoP.
Anyone who watched RoP and not this is just trying to feel included to LoTR hype like a woman latching onto men’s hobbies for attention.
Logain can see the glow around ta'veren, just like Siuan. It has nothing to do with Rand being a fellow male channeler, but the show changed it to be so. There was a "preview" scene that showed Rand talking with him that confirmed this change. Male channelers don't see a glow around other channelers that indicate channeling or the ability to do so in any situation, unlike the women. Read the books.
>wait she's stilled at the end of s1
Who knows, really. It's not like they care about pesky things like the rules of the setting so they can just make shit up. Ishamael rekts her immediately and one of her final scenes in the show is pic related, but they'll most likely use some cop out like "oh he just shielded her very strongly".
>wait she's stilled at the end of s1

frick this bullshit, sooooo glad i ended up missing s1
Is Sanderson "involved" in this season like the last one, iirc he pretty much spent all of production saying "hey dickheads follow the books" and Rafe just kept telling him to frick off
Dropped the show when I saw a sorceress with a hijab. Like, she just had a hijab presumably because the actress was a muslim or something. She was one of several sorceresses who weren't brown-skinned and DIDN'T wear hijabs. So I guess IRL representation is more important than world building.
The show was unbearably shit before that, but that was just the last straw for me. I think that was around episode 3.
>anon is keenly aware of when the show that he doesn’t like starts >makes a thread to b***h about it before a single episode
This has to be a shill attempt to create buzz even if it’s complaining. I cannot for the life of me imagine anyone pathetic enough to make a thread about a show they specifically didn’t like, a year after they didn’t like it. The show sucked, I stopped watching it at like episode 4, and then forgot it existed. But for you this show being bad is some sort of emotional scar or what? Please tell me it’s just shilling
No I’m insulting the people who make threads I don’t like. I’m beginning to notice how much time and effort people put into crying over corporate products.. but then still consoom the products. In my mind if a business does something that makes me mad enough to get emotional they’re dead to me. I don’t buy their shit, I don’t talk about them, I don’t whine about it, I don’t guerrilla market for it, I don’t follow news about it. This attitude of crying that your consumer preferences aren’t met is just shameful to me. It’s like if you went to a grocery store every week and they sold you rotten apples.. so you spend an hour complaining to the manager.. then an hour getting upset and complaining to your friends.. then went back next week.
She's only like a main character in books 1-2.
After TGH, her involvement in the story is diminished and she even fakes her death at the end of book 5 from which point on she doesn't come back for a long time.
>the dragon reborn is male, this is reiterated and said millions of times in the first book >the very first line in the show says that the dragon reborn can be anyone, men or women
Wait, they made another season of that shit show?
How do you ruin what was the peak girlboss feminist fantasy book?
It's even worse than Witcher in that regard.
>peak girlboss feminist
You could've just said you never actually read them.
What I assume he means is "how could they ruin plausibly deniable male centered fiction" by just cutting out Richards narrative monologues that make it clear what's happening, and keeping things implied when they become too obviously WoT like.
Anon what the frick are you talking about?
I have no clue man, I lost the plot around when the quotes started and just tried to stick a landing.
Every woman in the books is the exact type of mega c**t that rey and captain marvel are accused of being. Cope.
and through being so literally caused the apocalypse - nearly twice
it's not exactly subtle m8
who accuses rey or captain marvel of being c**ts? That would be a semblance of a personality of which they have none
Marvel definitely gets it, not sure about Rey though
Yeah and they get fricking BTFO by the male hero who's going insane while doing it. If you think those c**ts are presented as competent or justified in what they do you completely missed the point.
They also promptly become good characters after being dicked down.
I hated how Nynaeve went from being an actually competent, strong woman to lusting for Lan's dick in every single internal monologue
This is literally how women are, anon. They're strong womyn until they meet a Chad who doesn't bow to them, then all they can think about is getting his seed.
The Male main character has a harem, He has 3 love interests and refuses to even consider not having all 3.
>to bait with the Jak o' the Shadows
what fricking books did you read homie
These guys clearly haven't read the books. The author was a pretty outspoken radical feminist,.
No because I didn't watch it and I'm not going to.
I've read the series multiple times since I was a young teenager. I made the mistake of watching Season 1. I won't make the mistake of watching Season 2. It's irredeemable rubbish.

I stand corrected then. Dumb frick Jordan sold his baby to soulless executives himself. It's a shame he didn't live long enough to see it butchered.
A couple of Japanese studios were interested in an anime adaptation once. Jordan said no because they only wanted the first three books, not all of them.
Imagine the kino we have been denied through that decision.
This is why artists should never have total control. Virgil would have destroyed the Aeneid if he could.
>I've read the series multiple times since I was a young teenager.
I mean you don't really have room to talk shit about other peoples taste
>one day until this drops
>Amazon hasn’t even bothered to shill on Twitter, Reddit, or Cinemaphile

are we getting more male nipple tweaking funerals though?

I don’t have that gif of the earth benders dancing while that weird rock floats by but I imagine it’ll be like that with 200% more ugly girl magic.
I think it’s legit better than RoP.
Anyone who watched RoP and not this is just trying to feel included to LoTR hype like a woman latching onto men’s hobbies for attention.
>I think it’s legit better than RoP.
Not exactly a very high bar.
They're going so far in the other direction it's only wheel of time in name. Which is a good thing. I want these idiots to fail on their own merits.
I don't know why but I want to watch it. I know it will be awful just like season 1 but the desire is there.
Never stop changing things. Keep going!
I can't wait to see how they will shit in jordan story again
it's so bad that become funny
The Star Wars effect.
You need to add "male channelers can recognize each other from a halo-like glow".
Read the books
Did you misunderstand something? That's a new show only addition to the list of other dumb changes they made, it's not from the books.
Did YOU? Logain describes seeing rand in the books.
Logain can see the glow around ta'veren, just like Siuan. It has nothing to do with Rand being a fellow male channeler, but the show changed it to be so. lol
Also Rand is asking him to teach him, so no Asmo.
I don't know, nor will I ever know.
Watching the first season was punishing enough.
It was almost impressive how Amazon managed to GoT season 8 this series in only one season.
why is she wielding a dagger lol wtf
She was stilled at the end of S1 (unless she gets better like Loial from getting stabbed with the Shadar Logoth dagger).
wait she's stilled at the end of s1
and Loial is stabbed by the shadar dagger??
lol wtf wtf
>wait she's stilled at the end of s1
Who knows, really. It's not like they care about pesky things like the rules of the setting so they can just make shit up. Ishamael rekts her immediately and one of her final scenes in the show is pic related, but they'll most likely use some cop out like "oh he just shielded her very strongly".
>and Loial is stabbed by the shadar dagger??
Straight in the heart, but don't worry, Rafe confirmed that he's gonna be alright.
frick this bullshit, sooooo glad i ended up missing s1
I'm genuinely curious to see how they'll asspull themselves out of these.
You can stop baiting now.
360 degrees in that homie
Is Sanderson "involved" in this season like the last one, iirc he pretty much spent all of production saying "hey dickheads follow the books" and Rafe just kept telling him to frick off
No I don't think so. I don't think he was even involved with all of season 1. He seemed pretty surprised at how bad the last 2 eps were.
The costumes were extremely poor in general. They weren't supposed to be color coded like fricking power rangers.
It did seem like they might have dialed that back this season
>ruin it
How can you ruin something that was already terrible? The first season was fairly faithfull, asking for anything more I feel would be asking too much.
>The first season was fairly faithful
lol
lmao
>anon is keenly aware of when the show that he doesn’t like starts

Look homie the Cinemaphile threads are just stealth book threads. The show is just an excuse.
So post it in Cinemaphile. Oh wait, they’d shit on you for having bad taste, nvm
Looks like you're stuck with us :^)
And you're on Cinemaphile bellyaching over someone making a thread about a show you don't like.
No I’m insulting the people who make threads I don’t like. I’m beginning to notice how much time and effort people put into crying over corporate products.. but then still consoom the products. It’s like if you went to a grocery store every week and they sold you rotten apples.. so you spend an hour complaining to the manager.. then an hour getting upset and complaining to your friends.. then went back next week.
And yet here you are, hypocrite, crying about threads you don't like instead of simply paying them no mind. Curious!
>curious!
hey Sara, is browsing Cinemaphile a part of your marketing budget? seems like a waste of money.
>Curious!
is browsing Cinemaphile a part of your marketing budget, Sara?
>smug, supercilious attitude
>hypocrite
>food analogy
You have to go back
>The story is centered around the last dragon, A rare male magic user
>The center of the movie poster is a woman
lol
trash
I mean she's front and centre because Rosamund Pike is the only notable actor out of all of them
She's only like a main character in books 1-2.
After TGH, her involvement in the story is diminished and she even fakes her death at the end of book 5 from which point on she doesn't come back for a long time.
She didn't fake her death, weird take
>the dragon reborn is male, this is reiterated and said millions of times in the first book
>the very first line in the show says that the dragon reborn can be anyone, men or women
