I mean, the idea of me being the main character of anything outside of a niche, dark/cringe comedy that would be cancelled quickly because almost no one wants to watch a bumbling fricking loser fail at everything with no character growth whatsoever is fricking laughable.

The opposite is true. If you were ever "with it" you're an NPC. If you're still "with it" past 25 you're a giga-NPC. Conforming to whats considered hip is quite literally the number 1 behavior that defines an NPC

I'm a Cinemaphile oldgay, but I don't know if I've ever been with it, because I never participated in the stuff they were doing. In 2023, I have like 11 threads on the board, full of people I don't want to speak to. I've said it before, but it feels like high school all over again, where I didn't like anyone.
It's really sad, because I came to the internet because I didn't fit in in the real world and now I don't fit in on the site I've spent my life on.

Why did you keep coming here if you weren't with it? Have you tried Reddit? I suspect Reddit is better than this place now (the people, I mean), but I hate the UI, so I'll never use it.
I think the website design of Cinemaphile is perfect and my only problem is with the userbase, so that's why my plan has always been to wait until everyone is gone, because then only people like me will be left. Even if it's like five people, it'll be an improvement.
