    With popmusic from right now.
I watch the MTV Video Music Awards to stay in touch, and 1 or 2 years ago I noticed this one kind of genre of popmusic that was just really badly mixed obviously. You could hardly make out the instruments and vocals over the tremendous fuzz and reverb that covered everything. This is not even music anymore were my thoughts exactly, and then I realized it.

I dunno if it's gonna happen. Between my terminal onlineness and my never ending search for new music I feel like I'll always get 'it' but of course that doesn't mean I'll find it interesting. Just as I don't care to be algorithmically fed or short form videos I'm sure I'll find plenty of stuff come down the line that I get but don't care for.
We'll see. It's kind of a shame because I get along with zoomers more at work then I do millennials. From music and games, to jokes to memes it's easier to talk with them... They do start to seem increasingly vapid tho, very shallow but unlike millennials they still seem more 'active' while the millennials have all turned into slop zombies of one sort of another.

when people started to talk about youtubers like celebrities, even here
i have an easy time staying "with it" in traditional culture but i'll never understand the appeal of video essays, comedy youtubers, any of it. they're not informed or charismatic and the videos are dull as hell

I watched some e-celebs when I was younger but they were funny and good at the game they were playing. The e-celebs zoomers looked up to are good at nothing and they just have their opinions. I think zoomers have this crazy idea that
      >this person has friends so he's better than me
He is better than you but he's not smarter so you shouldn't listen to what he says.
      >this person has more money than me so he's better than me
Naw, he's just luckier than you.
I grew up listening to Cinemaphile and I learned a lot but this place is worthless now.

      >they're not informed or charismatic
everyone informed or charismatic has been pushed off those platforms to even more obscure platforms (or have locked their content behind a paywall using patreon).
it's the real redpill - nowadays those kinda ppl know what they're worth and they don't give it away for free unless its to push an agenda.
