Last episode I remember was a pool game and I think it was S7. I hated glenn but S1 to 6 was kino enough
Season one and two were quite good I thought. Even season three wasn't bad. Season 4 it turns to shit. After Rick leaves it becomes diarrhea.
>when did it turn to shit
season 2
>when did it turn to irredeemable unwatchable shit
after Glenn died
>when did you actually stop watching (be honest)
after Rick was airlifted
pretty much this although the terminus arc had some great moments, carl dying was much worse than glenn dying because at least the latter had a good buildup episode and the false promise of a good story arc (that ended up just being really boring overdrawn shit), carl's death on the other hand was completely pointless and moronic, antithetical to the comic storyline and killed almost all of the little interest i had left in watching the show
also i kept watching for a bit after rick left but eventually realised i wasn't even trying to feign interest in what was going on anymore and gave up on it completely
Same, although I'd argue that one season where Rick bites the biker's throat out was kino, I think it was season 3 or 4, but all good will from then on slowly erodes and then plummets after Glenn dies.
Carl bite reveal. Dropped it there
Corrrrrl???
Daaad?
it had a lot of ups and downs
I stopped watching when the saints or whatever all got defeated because not a single one checked their ammo
that season was already painfully bad, it's too bad the neegan vs rick story was buried under so much terrible acting and writing
>when did it turn to shit
Glenn's death
>when did it turn to irredeemable unwatchable shit
Carl's death
>when did you actually stop watching (be honest)
around the time carl died
I thought Season 1 was amazing, George A Romero level kino.
Season 2 turned it into a soap opera, and it never recovered
This. AMC shows suck and are glorified soap operas.
HE TALKEDABOUTDADEEEEERLOOOORRRIII
kids shouldn't be having Dads in a zombie apocalypse
I turned it off mid-episode when the Saviors had Rick’s group surrounded and all their guns exploded. Never tuned back in
look at the flowers anon
i thought the whole zombie thing was pretty played out by the time that show started.
some of you frickers without even any hair on your balls yet wouldn't remember, but 2003-2010 or 12 was peak zombie. everything, everywhere, even places you wouldn't think - zombie this, zombie that. knife companies, ammunition companies, tent makers, keychains, buttplugs... make part of [OBJECT] neon green, slap the word Zombie somewhere on the packaging/[OBJECT], sit back, and watch the millions roll in.
to be completely fair, i did watch all of the OG twd. I skipped the last few years and just watched it all at once one week between christmas and new year's. never watched fear the. did watch the maggie/negan spinoff, and darryl.
i did also buy several boxes of hornady zombie ammo back in like '10 or '11. it was just their regular critical defense shit, but the ballistic tip was green. not because i wanted it, but because it was the only stuff left at the store. guy gave it to me at a discount. shit was loaded kind of hot. it was ok, i guess.
the zombie genre as a whole is itself a zombie
>oh no there's zombies we have to escape the zombies
>actually, it turns out humans are the real monsters after all
>rinse & repeat etc
shaun of the dead is the only good recent one, mostly because it's a parody. in a way i actually appreciate twd for exploring the many possible variations in which humans are the real monsters after all but they fricked it up so bad turning it into the same boring rinse and repeat bullshit i think they've effectively killed the genre by removing the head and/or destroying the brain
>shaun of the dead
>recent
It came out 20 years ago, Anon.
i think the biggest frick up twd made was turning in to a soap opera. it became less about the zombie stuff and more about the interpersonal relationships.
not that that in and of itself is bad. a lot of times, it can move a story along just fine. but it became about that. throw in some slopes at first, then there's blacks. pretty soon every other character is gay. then there's halfbreed kids. and now where are we?
>leftist diversity utopia: the show
>but with zombies in the background
most shows these days could just default to a nondescript scene of an overweight, oppressed lesbian eskimo kicking a white man in the balls while he tongue-fricks some spook's butthole.
>shaun of the dead is the only good recent one, mostly because it's a parody
it's not a parody.
1 and 2 are great. 3 is where it starts getting way too campy. I stopped watching around the time the zombies killed a tiger. That was so fricking moronic.
>>when did it turn to shit
When they killed off Shane (Jon Bernthal)

When they killed off Shane (Jon Bernthal)

When they killed off Shane (Jon Bernthal)
dude is a fricking badass and an ex marine they should bring the show back and make a whole story on him, maybe the prison arc would of been kino then
he would've made kino out of the following few seasons. leaves the farm season 2 and returns shortly before Lori dies, having gotten over her. Rick becomes more ruthless than Shane so that the roles have now reversed and Shane is the voice of reason in comparison. and he dies in season 8, being bitten instead of Carl.
this is the one wrong answer, shane was a moron and bernthal irl is a shitbull apologist cuck homosexual and a shit actor

Sometime during negan
Last time I will fall for kirkman trash at least
Only episode 1 was good. It was shit within a few episodes. I made it to sometime in the middle of the prison season. There was only like 1 character I wouldn't have ditched to try to make it on my own
They had complex zombies early on like ones that would use tools and climb shit and then the zombies became stupid and used as a plot device when convenient
I'll keep saying it, the show should have ended after Negan was defeated
Darryl and Carol ruined it.
Both bland characters made up by the TV series (Carol died fairly early in the comics as she was dull, so nearly her entire story was made up just for the TV) and the slack-jawed idiots who enjoyed the characters stared to ship them for no real reason other than their names kind of rhymed. The show runners, desperate for ideas for these 2 inexplicably popular characters decided to throw them together based on can opinion despite them having zero chemistry together. It didn't help that when Andrew Lincoln left the show they chose the boring "all American biker dude" to be the replacement, despite even some of the women being cooler and more badass. They had basically written themselves into a corner then by not replacing cool characters that died with other cool ones and getting rid of the things that made the still living cool characters cool in the first place, like king Ezekiel's fricking tiger (and kingdom) or Negan's bat wife stand-in.
The comics had the right idea by just ending it when it was dull, but the series limped on because a lot of viewers out up with bland shows longer than they should out of habit.
Stopped watching when glenn got killed like most people, I already knew from the comics I just got bored, and I gues it turned into irredeemeable shit right around they got to alexandria
Frick I remember when I heard the conept of the whisperers and how they used masks made from the walkers, imagine my dissapointment when I saw a bunch of halloween discount masks, couldnt take the show seriously at all
Was only good when Rick was by himself for the first few episodes
Should've had a full season of that
It got progressively worse as it tried to be more faithful to the comics.
Season 3 for all
I tried to power through the entire show. It was enjoyable enough until it got to Alexandria. Then it really started to suck hard during the Neegan seasons. Everyone shits on the scene with Neegan killing Glenn, but I find the part where they fight off the giant horde that breaches Alexandria when Corl gets bit way more offensive.
The seasons after with Alpha are slightly better, but I ran out of will power to keep watching somewhere around when Maggie rejoins the show.
Season one was cool, season 2 was a Farmville simulator and season 3 was alright because of the based Governor. I stopped watching after he died.

I watched the first episode but I didn't like that guy who was handcuffed so I didn't watch after that. i don't like that actor
