When I saw that stupid purple space Black person at the end of Avengers and knew they were going to go all-in on this cinematic universe nonsense. In my book nothing has topped the Phase 1 movies. First Captain America has actual sovl.
>First Captain America has actual sovl.
I watched the entire MCU from phase 1-3, and I have to say, the First Captain America movie is probably one of the best movies in the MCU by far. It's right up there next to Iron Man 1. >In my book nothing has topped the Phase 1 movies.
Definitely agree also. Those movies had really well done CGI (for the most part), solid worldbuilding, solid characters, and semi-decent stories. Probably because they had to actually try back then.
Iron Man 3, but then I saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 because it was a double feature at a drive in and then I saw Endgame because it seemed like a big cultural event movie and I wanted to be a part of what everyone would be talking about.
sheer determination. In their defense most of those movies are more like mediocre rather than awful. Wakanda forever was the only one that was truly shit. Shang-Chi and Eternals werent much better. The rest hung in there.
I always just watched the few that interested me if I didn’t understand something in infinity war I just ignored it I mostly just like the guardians of the galaxy
Exactly. I realized this was the right choice when every synopsis was like “the Ooblheim explodes, killing Evil Star and freeing the Ooblings. In a post credit scene, it is revealed that Shaun survived the blast,” like ok cool.
it's a meme but endgame. i was roped one more time into watching that one spiderman movie everyone praised but i was bored af by it and havent been looking back ever since
After Endgame. Had to see NWH though because wanted to see if tobey really was spidey again. And after that I am still interested in any later Spider-Man movies if they happen.
I watched the multiverse of madness it was HORRIBLE after that GOTG3 which was pretty good honestly I don’t even know when there will be another one that interests me I heard they got the rights to Hulk back so maybe something with that. There are so many filler movies with the MCU so many D lister heroes it’s just a waste of everyone’s time when there are still probably cool things they could do
Endgame.
I also skipped Captain Marvel and Spider-Man, the only thing i saw after those was Guardians 3. I also haven't seen any new Star Wars since the sequels, and I don't plan to.
Thor 2. Literally was like an epiphany. I was actually Marvelbrained before Thor 2 and since then I've seen nothing and regretted nothing. I only know Marvel from cultural osmosis and half remembered memories of pirated comics.
Infinity war, that cemented my opinion that the MCU is bad for cinema.
Its a zero sum game and marvel films take away from films that could have been made. If no marvel film had ever been made, there would be 20 other films that would exist, while a few would suck, some would be good and some would be great and all would have more artistic merit than any marvel film.
After Avengers I think, I've only watched a couple movies anyway, mostly just Thor 1-3 because I liked the idea of campy scifi norse mythology. I don't care about most of the characters and I can't be bothered to watch all that crap just to follow the latest crossover movie with generic videogame plot.
Every day since Captain Marvel came out I flip a coin on the subject, heads I drop it for good, tails I don't, but so far I haven't got heads.

Im still watching them. Ive seen every single marvel movie except wakanda forever because it was unwatchable. Turned it off after 20 minutes.
How did you stomach phase 4?

Endgame but even before that I'd skip the ones that didn't look interesting or notable. I'd just read the plot synopses of them online

Watched every movie until the first Avengers, then watched every other movie until Endgame, and haven't watched one since

Skipped Ant-Man 2, skipped Black Panther 2 but I did watch GotG 3. I think that'll be the last MCU movie I'll ever watch.
if you've ever watched a disney+ series you should actually have a nice day
Endgame. I just watched GotG 3 after that

GotG2. It was horribly boring and unfunny. Didn't watch a bunch before either.
endgame
The hulk 2003
Right after Endgame
ragnarok
Endgame.
I also skipped Captain Marvel and Spider-Man, the only thing i saw after those was Guardians 3. I also haven't seen any new Star Wars since the sequels, and I don't plan to.
ms marvel was the last straw for me and I think for most people. that sandBlack person was ugly as frick
ragnarok was the last good marvel movie and the best hulk vs thor movie we got
I never picked it up.
Captain America civil war
The movies became noticeably repetitive
Thor 2. Literally was like an epiphany. I was actually Marvelbrained before Thor 2 and since then I've seen nothing and regretted nothing. I only know Marvel from cultural osmosis and half remembered memories of pirated comics.
First Avengers. Didn't care anymore after that.
Infinity war, that cemented my opinion that the MCU is bad for cinema.

>When did you drop the MCU?
Right here
>Changing production direction because you don't have the balls to tell your actress to wear a bathing suit
bro
Stopped watching after civil war. No particular reason, just stopped caring.
The second Spiderman. He was just swinging on webs and hiding his identity like the first one. And people ate it up. I said frick this shit.
I saw twenty mcu movies and only liked two of them: Iron man 1 and Winter Soldier. I have no idea why I didn't drop them sooner.
After Avengers I think, I've only watched a couple movies anyway, mostly just Thor 1-3 because I liked the idea of campy scifi norse mythology. I saw NWH just because of based Tobey. Before that the last one I saw was the original Captain America back in 2011 kek
Guardians of the galaxy
Would be great if there was an official poster for the mcu, tony stark appearing litteraly everywhere on that one makes me uncomfortable.
I was 8 years old when I learned I hated homosexuals, spics, Black folk, and israelites
When the TV series started
This plus Shang Chi & Eternals. There was a SHARP turn into wokeness and I blame those early projects for killing the MCU.
After Infinity war. I've never seen anything after that in it's entirety.
