Agreed. Rob is really responsible for all the worst elements of the new season, seemingly with little to no exception. Worse yet he has the gal to virtue signal over it. Sad. Very sad.
I thought that as I was watching as it aired but going back, 5 definitely was great compared to what the later seasons became. I think they think 5 is their best season too
Mac and Dennis Break Up is a top 5 episode in the show
the whole argument between Rob and Charlie about ideas for the show too. Charlie saying keep the charm of 4:3 and episodes centred around character. Rob saying DUDE IRELAND LMAO. and then Rob snapping when he was criticised for this
It wasn't just that he said Axl Rose was one of the best ever, but that he shut down the game when Dennis said Ann Wilson of Heart should be considered. He said that Glenn was "naming people nobody knew" and took the fun out of it
>charlie is very conservative. you dont like change! you are getting upset at this. you are afraid of change! >yeah but I dont like writing stories that come from outside motivation. it makes no sense to say "WERE IN IRELAND" every episode for a season. its a gimmick and I dont like it. you like ideas whereas I like character
how can you respond to this without getting mad?
lol this comment >Charlie saying Rob's ideas seemed inorganic while Rob sits there with his new plastic face is hilarious. Funnier than anything in the show in years
>charlie is very conservative. you dont like change! you are getting upset at this. you are afraid of change! >yeah but I dont like writing stories that come from outside motivation. it makes no sense to say "WERE IN IRELAND" every episode for a season. its a gimmick and I dont like it. you like ideas whereas I like character

i was honestly surprised to hear that Glenn and Charlie often side with each other against Rob. I would have thought Glenn would often be the odd man out for some reason. I think I just always assumed he wasn't as close to them or involved in everything as much
The funniest thing they could do is just have an entire season without Mac without acknowledging anything different, only at the tail end someone mentions they haven't seen Mac in a while before brushing it off as irrelevant.
It was on a downward spiral for a long time but Mac's gay dance was the point where I just couldn't tolerate it anymore. That episode just completely betrayed the spirit of what the show used to be.
I watched that queer dance for 5 minutes waiting for the punchline. I figured it was coming, then I figured it was one of those jokes where they really stretch it out before they give you the punchline and then it gets to the end and I find out that I was supposed to be genuinely moved by that pretentious garbage.
I figured the whole queer dance was going to just be in Mac's head and we were going to get a jump cut to him flopping around on a dirty prison stage while prisoners laugh, throw shit at him and call him a homosexual. But no.
I didn't I just took a break about 5 years ago during Season 14. The past seasons before that definitely had a significant drop in overall quality. I will come back and watch it at some point but it doesn't look like the show has gotten any better. Maybe the podcast is good, never seen it.
I was a little high and told him, "I really like most of your work -- most." He laughed and we took some pictures. Full hand to shoulder on both ends. Totally hetero.
Its mostly Rob McElheney who's turned into an uptight virtue signaling twat. The show should have ended with the season 12 finale. Season 13 was absolute trash and the finale that ended with an interpretive dance about Mac accepting that he's a homosexual was the most pretentious load of horseshit I've ever seen.
That all said S16 E 8 Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day was a legitimately great episode and season 16 on the whole was actually pretty watchable as were the Irish episodes at the tail end of Season 15.
dennis's mental health day was the first ep i enjoyed in years. perfectly took the piss out of our garbage phone culture. i wish they were that smart more often.
Quietly a long time ago but when they started that new podcast that caused millenial soiboys to gatekeep the show. Really the only episodes I remember now are the gun show, extreme makeover, jersey shore, and the one where charlie plays that fricked up song on piano.
should have ended on The Gang Squashes Their Beefs. a great episode that instead of being a redemption arc ends with them burning their apartment and all the people they wronged alive
the show ended on the boat
been saying this
Same. The final episode just being the gang locked in a room with each other I think is a great way to end it. Only thing missing was Paddy's
>It's ok when IASIP does it!
The Always Sunny version of this ending would be everybody they have fricked over during the course of the show murdering them one by one
I turned on Rob when I listened to the podcast. Glenn and Charlie are still pretty cool in my book
Rob is a pretentious Hollywood clout-chasing homosexual. Charlie is a failed auteur. Glenn seems just like his character and is a pretty cool guy.
Agreed. Rob is really responsible for all the worst elements of the new season, seemingly with little to no exception. Worse yet he has the gal to virtue signal over it. Sad. Very sad.
I remember Season 5 being a big dip in quality at the time. If only I knew how bad things could get.
I thought that as I was watching as it aired but going back, 5 definitely was great compared to what the later seasons became. I think they think 5 is their best season too
Mac and Dennis Break Up is a top 5 episode in the show
the dance episode
It's Always Reddit
that ski town episode iirc
i assume it only got worse
I liked it but it's kinda too similar to the South Park 80s skiing parody
Actually they turned into me and that's why the show sucks.
I havent turned on them.
Charlie and Glenn are seriously clever and insensitive individuals who know what they want in life. I think theyre great.
Rob is a stupid sensitive prick who exists for attention and his ideas exist on the reason he wants to be liked.
just see the podcast episode where Rob says Axl Rose is one of the best vocalists ever lmao
Well, he did name his kid "Axel" so you shouldn't be surprised.
I didnt know that kek
the whole argument between Rob and Charlie about ideas for the show too. Charlie saying keep the charm of 4:3 and episodes centred around character. Rob saying DUDE IRELAND LMAO. and then Rob snapping when he was criticised for this
What a loser
Sorry, meant to say "Axl"
It wasn't just that he said Axl Rose was one of the best ever, but that he shut down the game when Dennis said Ann Wilson of Heart should be considered. He said that Glenn was "naming people nobody knew" and took the fun out of it
Season 10 was the last good one, Boggs and Family Feud episodes are classics.
The season they went to Ireland sucked
I love the video of them having an argument about that plotline on the podcast
>charlie is very conservative. you dont like change! you are getting upset at this. you are afraid of change!
>yeah but I dont like writing stories that come from outside motivation. it makes no sense to say "WERE IN IRELAND" every episode for a season. its a gimmick and I dont like it. you like ideas whereas I like character

Rob utterly BTFO so hard he had to cancel the podcast.
lol this comment

Rob's such a fricking piece of shit. Who can replace him? Can't be hard to find someone funnier who's into bashing the gays.

That episode screams "please give me an Emmy" so hard.
>cursed images

I met Glenn once. He was really cool.
he comes across very well in interviews as if grateful he is successful.
I was a little high and told him, "I really like most of your work -- most." He laughed and we took some pictures. Full hand to shoulder on both ends. Totally hetero.
Imagine taking a photo with a celebrity and cropping yourself out of the image.
Imagine posting a photo of yourself on 4chin.
They were never funny to begin with
The season where Dennis was mostly absent and Mac's gay dance were the end for me.
When they stopped being funny and started apologizing for their own satire
when they went HD and then went mac got buff and wasn't funny anymore
I thought season 6 sucked
Realized 7 wasn't better and dropped it.
>When did you turn on them?

that season that started with mindy kaling
Charlie, never turned on him. Glenn, when he & Kaitlyn bogged.
Robb, when he turned his back on why he went Fat Mac.
family feud episode, where the punchline was seen from miles away
Ever since the podcast revealed who they truly are I turned on them. It began many seasons ago though.
Fat Mac episodes where the beginning of the end
It was the moment Mac turned gay.
soo the pilot?
