        It came from David Firth's old site, but was crossposted on Newgrounds.
        David Firth was part of a circle of internet trolls way back, before he started doing the animation stuff serious. I guess that's probably been memory holed at this point. Anyone remember "I Hate Yanks", and "I Hate Aussies"?

    I'm extremely surprised there hasn't been a good youtube alternative yet.

      Why? Don’t you know how much money it takes to maintain that site? Youtube basically runs at a loss.

      I've been using Odysee as a movie library.

      There's a bunch but they all suck because:
      >you want to watch content, these alternatives have very little
      >there's no incentives for any Youtuber to switch over
      >they have the same features as Youtube
      >they don't have the same features as Youtube

        They all immediately develop reputations as being "right wing conspiracy sites", and then the more general audience gets spooked, and doesn't want to go there.

      The biggest 3 offenders for me:
      >addition of ads
      >ratings -> like/dislike
      >removal of video responses

      That was always the case (Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend music video was #1 for fricking years) but I agree with you when it comes to VEVO channels and shit like Despacito

    Adpocalypse. It was never quite the same. That was the point it became full on: frick the creators and the audience it's about the corporations. It's just getting worse and worse. Everything I watched has died or gone mia. I wish a replacement will surface already.

    Salad Fingers was first released on Newgrounds. Also, Newgrounds fricking put 18 and up content away behind a wall unless you "sign in". Motherfricker, I haven't signed into that site in close to 20 years.
