Sounds like a middle man type thing. They probably buy from planet X and sell to planet Y, taking care of the actual trade between distant star systems (likely between the core and outer rim, since we know they used the low taxation sheme provided for outer rim to stimulate its economy, which abolishment sparked the Naboo crisis) and earning money of the margine between buy and sell price. Taxation reduces their margins at current price levels and increas of prices might be economically unviable

He was president when it was released., you moron. What is your argument? Trump isn‘t responsible for the vaccine because they weren‘t able to supply everyone under his watch? The vaccine was made and got approval under his watch. He actively pushed it during his presidency and afterwards. And again for a fourth time, since you keep dodging. Why would trump care about negative press, that he was already getting? Did trump who tells it like it is, push a deadly vaccine because he was afraid rachel maddow would call him dumb? Your arguments are fricking incoherent and don‘t even adress my own argument, while still being wrong in their own right. Just accept that supporting trump and thinking the vaccine is population control aren‘t compatible positions

And you know the stick by know, Nr. T:why would trump care about negative press? Are you actually unable to come up with any response to this? You don‘t need to bother grasping at straws in a Cinemaphile thread. You should probably spend more time critically examining your own views. You are wrong about this but I‘m pretty sure that your inability to critically engage is a common thread with most of your opinions on things

Huh? I already said he needed a certain handful of middleground sitting people in a few states and that's the only way you get to stay president. He never PUSHED anybody to take it. He never told people they would die if they didn't want to get it. He knows most of his voters didn't care for it and they know his stance on covid's severity by the fact he didn't walk up to podiums wearing masks like democrats. He just needed some of the voters that wanted to be jabbed to feel safe and its an unfortunate circumstance that came up for him.

Just because I understand the plot of a movie doesn‘t mean that that movie is engaging. This is such an obvious thing I shouldn‘t need to point it out. People not liking the same movies you like, doesn‘t require them to be dumber than you. Tempting as it might be for you to define your intelligence by liking a movie whose script was written in 3 weeks during preproduction.

When producing The Phantom Menace, they (George) made a serious mistake by not at the earliest possible opportunity illustrating to the audience just how large & biologically varied the Galaxy is before dumping all of the incomprehensible political senate trade war cloak & dagger intrigue bullshit on the audience. Like, in the original trilogy, we the audience were exposed to about four planets in total, all of which wild, were largely undeveloped environments (desolate desert, icy waste, spooky swamp, teddy bear-infested jungle), & then in the opening moments of episode I, we're thrown into this dry as hell interplanetary socioeconomic dispute without context to any of it at all. It would feel more meaningful if people understood the scale & nature of the conflict
