Anon, we're all responsible for His death because of our sins. Admitting to it and believing in Him is when you cease to be like the israelites.

        Anonymous

When you fully believe and get baptized, there is no israelite or gentile, master or slave, man or woman, there is Christ Jesus. And just a head's up: Jesus really doesn't care how you come to Him. His love is enough for every sect and denomination that does not add to the gospel (sorry Mormons, you got worked.)

There are Catholics and Protestants in Heaven. No matter how you come to Him, just study the word and show love to your neighbors. That's more important than the songs you sing or the candles you light.

        Anonymous

It had to happen to fulfill the prophecy. We are all guilty, both israelite and gentile alike mocked and attacked Him. But His love is steadfast.
So if you look at it, God did it for us. I went today at Good Friday mass. Not because I miss Christ, He is in my heart always, but because Christ misses us and longs to be with us again.

What specifically do you want to know? I appreciate you asking in good faith.

What is faith to you? It's odd seeing an adult believe in religious texts that is outside of their culture (assuming you were Protestant or just generally not a Catholic before hand).

Reminds me of a math teacher bring latkes and dreidels for holidays. Hope she's doing okay.

                >What is faith to you?
As an aside, faith is not the same thing as belief. It's not the idea (justified or not) that something is a certain way. Faith is a decision (conscious or otherwise) to act as though something is a certain way. Anon chose to answer your question as if you were earnest with it, despite lacking conclusive evidence of that. There's all sorts of metaphysical philosophy associated with religions, but there's generally no evidence in the sense that you get in science. But one can make a "leap of faith" and act as though something is true. People can do this for anything, so it's important to be sure that you're picking a good option. So, are the religion's values worthy of high regard? Do they call people to live better lives? If a transcendent superbeing made the universe and gave guidance for living in it, is that what you'd expect to find?

The Hogfather touches on this, but focuses on the importance of fantasy. In the story, fantasy is as physically real as any person, and people's beliefs physically shape the world and its contents. Ideas like justice are abstractions that exist in people's minds, but they reflect ways in which the real world works, as if there really is some ideal order in the world.

Men founded the Protestant church and immediately put Christ in charge. Also removed 7 books of the Bible that had no source in the Tanakh. Putting too much faith in orthoproxy leads to what Paul wrote against in Galatians. But like Gamaliel's wisdom, if God didn't support either then they'd shrivel away and die on their own.

I converted to Catholicism as an adult, you people have no idea what you're talking about.
I can think for myself, it's why I chose Catholicism for myself.
Because it's true. Because it's good and holy. And because I'm a Christian who wants to be as close to Christ as possible, and there's no closer place to be to Him than within the Catholic Church - I'm certain of it, and I'm certain God has revealed to me the truth and the authenticity of the Catholic faith and wants me to proclaim it to others.

Look all the crap people choose to believe in, the world is full of bad and misleading ideas and ideologies and only God has the real, full, unadulterated truth and He makes it accessible to all who are willing to seek, follow, and believe in Him.

God bless the Catholic Church. I hope you all come to repent, believe in the Gospel, and become my brothers in the body of Christ in His Church. God bless and have a happy Easter.

Of course, those who are of the truth are the ones who hear Christ's voice - one does not merely become "of the truth" hearing Christ's voice, otherwise everyone who simply read the Bible would be a Christian - rather Christ chooses us to hear His voice and believe in Him.

Faith is trust or confidence in someone/something. Faith in God is to trust in the truth and reality of God, Jesus said to Peter that flesh and blood did not reveal this to him, but His Father in heaven. I believe in something greater than mankind itself.

Jesus said, "blessed are those who have not seen, and yet believe" for a reason.

It's really not that odd. You have to remember that converts are a thing. People want to believe in and belong to things bigger than themselves. My desire for God does not start and stop with what's around me.

If you were a real Catholic, you'd know that Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium, not just scripture alone, go hand in hand in revealing the Word of God to us.

Give the first three episodes a shot, if you don't like it the show is not for you. Personally, I like it because it uses obscure Marvel characters instead of falling back on MCU wank

I appreciate the lack of MCU wank (that's what scared me away from the show the longest), but it has an identity crisis. It skirts the edge of being an action show, but tries to fit in with all the sitcom musicals by sanding down what should be good fight sequences.

This is true. However the scenes would fall apart quickly and badly if the OST wasn't as good as it is. Most of those songs make Molly's musical stuff sound cheesy as frick.
