I work at a call center job in the US but we take calls from Canada and almost without exception they are humorless pricks. Maybe in real life they are nice idk, definitely not on the on the phone. Humorless, neurotic, self regarding weirdos..

Uhh okay anon. Whatever helps you deal
I'm Canadian and can confirm. I can't stand the polite Canadian meme bullshit. Not true at all. City-dwelling Canadians are a bunch of antisocial, entitled c**ts who'll take any opportunity to condescend and be passive-aggressive. The funny thing is Canadians freeze up when confronted and have no ability to shit talk compared to Americans. Watching a Canadian altercation is embarassing.
I hate shows where they just quickly spit out obvious preconceived dialogue. Literally no one talks like that. Pic related pisses me off, especially when I hear women say it's a "smart show".
I mean some of the world play is clever and funny, however they barely bother with making it look or feel like an actual show. Also half the cast is annoying and hard to watch. The tweaker geeks were pretty kino though.
I live in rural Canada and it's pretty good as depictions go, but yeah they kinda don't have the comedy chops to come up with new jokes. Liked it better than Corner Gas
I never found it very funny but what I really can't stand is just how little chemistry any of the actors seem to have. It's as if they've never spent a second interacting when the cameras aren't rolling. Every line feels as if it's being delivered to a blank wall. The opposite of shows like TPB or Sunny. Painfully dull.
I thought it was pretty funny at first. It really changed tone halfway through when they started having woke stuff. I liked Wayne being a good ol' boy who had rough edges. But the same guy who would toss back a beer & punch a dude for shits & giggles isn't the same guy who would be openly supporting a gay wedding. He'd be uncomfortable & weird about it like he was in that one early episode. I like the banter, I like the characters for what they are, I don't even mind when a show starts to slip into self parody a bit. But the show became pretty unfocused, & a bit preachy & it did not have the episode count to really make it work.
>sure we support trans rights and whatever Justin Trudeau (pbuh) pushed as the talking point of the day, but we are also rugged rural real men >please vote liberal
Canadian here. Hated it since day one. The word play is funny for all of 5 minutes, then it just becomes annoying. I've had so many friends hit me with the "oh you like trailer park boys? You'll love Letterkenny" line it's unreal. Letterkenny is total dogshit in comparison. Not even remotely close.
>he's never seen an actual farmer in his life
Without anabolics that's what a young farmer or farmhand is going to look like. As far as their upper body is concerned they're all back and traps. Obviously the guy isn't actually a farmer, but his character is and his physique is plenty close enough for what he's supposed to be. Besides, the characters' physiques are the least of the show's problems.
No, farming without anabolics just won't grow cantaloupes on your shoulders like morons who've been tricked by fake natties have been lead to believe. Hell, most cage fighters are on anabolics and when they're not pumped they have physiques pretty comparable, in proportions at least, to farmers. Functional physiques look very different to ones built for show.
>most jokes are just painfully obvious the product of writers room jerk off sessions >the few jokes that are situational aren't funny since there was barely any time left to plan them out
Every time my old roommate had this on I hated it. The prime example of trying too hard to be funny.
First episode was good but continues on a downward trajectory afterwards. I don't think I got past episode 3. They use snappy fast dialog to disguise the lack of real jokes
>frick you shoresy!
I hate canadians
All canadians are passive aggressive b***hes
Umm okay, if you say so.
Sure bud.
I'll never forgive the canadians for what they did to the dead rising games.
Wow, that's a bit rude tb,h

Have you seen what's happened to our country? And you're bothered that we're humorless.
No, I'm American
Too bad there's no way for information to be communicated between different countries.

they're so fricking ugly I cannot stand to even give it a chance
the first episode was good because it was just Dragon Ball Z set in rural Canada
Then it fell off hard. Should have stuck to the concept.
Gilmore Girls but a leaf guy
The rapid-fire dialogue got really old really fast. Once you get the gimmick you don’t need to keep watching.

It’s alright up until there’s that weird out of place five minute pro-Trudeau monologue in like season 4
>we're vaguely conservative rural whites but even we know we should support current progressive thing
Trash
Got a link or a search term? I want to cringe
>Haha! I talk fast and say a weird inside joke!
Is that supposed to pass for "comedy".
Made out of spare parts aren't ya bud?
Shoresey is better.
For redditors, yes
>what if rural america but really gay and lame
>Canadian humor
Pleaze understand
>you were shitposting on Cinemaphile the othehr dayyyee
The guy on the left sucks, but the guy on the right is dead on sight.
during the slow motion fight
aww, did you feel personally attacked by the "you cum in men for both all of us" line?

the only reason to watch corner gas is she, what a goddess
>what a goddess
You're a creep dude
Only sex offenders use phrasing like this.
found the FRICKING LEAF!
You're crossing the line bro
Call me a Black person or homosexual right now and take that back.
Agreed.
TPB is far superior in every way.
This just doesn't cut it for me either.
Full aryan
gilmore girls but for rural Canadians
You're supposed to watch for Sarah Gadon
I found it quite funny before it was a TV show and the early stuff is OK with some nice looking women.
Then it became pure redditor TV

First 2 seasons are fine (except the FartBook episode, that was pure cancer), it should have ended after that

Shoresy is better and nat is best girl
Cheap imitation of TBP, an actually funny show until it got too popular for its own good.

trailer park boys if it was written by smug city-slickers that idolize aaron sorkin
i.e. it's shit
The Uncle Eddie bit was funny
I liked their witty banter and stupid hockey/Canadian slang a bit.
you weren't, you were supposed to listen and that's what no one did
look at the tough guys shoulder, or the lack there of. Haha

farming causes a person to lose their shoulders? Good to know.
Farming causes a person to lose their shoulders? Good to know, thank you for that info. I'll let you go back you your young farmer magazines now.
