If SpongeBob were released today and SpongeBob and Squidward were a pair of 15 year old girls everywhere on this terrible goddamn section of the internet we frequent would be shipping them always and forever
Hey, I know most of them were just trying to be Ren and Stimpy knock offs, but do you guys remember just HOW MANY buddy duo cartoon shows were the thing in the 90s?
Cartoons with male protagonists and two guys being horribly stupid pals with one another? I kinda miss that.
But yeah, I love hanging out with the bros, and even more so when the one female character they throw into the series is just cool and still a feminist. She's there, and she's important when she needs to be.
That's why you think it was "kino", you were born to have no taste.
>Timon and Pumbaa >Bad
It was a good enough show.
Also had top tier voice acting in my country.
It has good animators, but that shit didn't have to be wasted on Timon and Pumbaa.
Not saying Shnookums and Meat is a better series, but they were designed for the wacky and weird hijinks of a Saturday morning cartoon show.
Lion King is lore based and dramatic. Taking Timon and Pumbaa out of that to give them run of the mill gag based series is a stupid thing to have done to them. A lot of the jokes are REALLY out of touch and could've been used for some other show.
Like I'm telling you, you guys didn't LIVE through it. It's like Teen Titans Go if you cared about Lion King at the time. TTGo is fine, but it'd been better if it wasn't DC characters.

Some of them were REALLY bad, so it's not like i miss them entirely.

Timon and pumbaa are ren and Stimpy clones in the first place, you're just denying reality
A more fair comparison would be As Told by Ginger or Hey Arnold! since they were both slice of life cartoons. But this was a disingenuous thread to begin with, wasn't it OP?
Yeah I miss when SpongeBob and Squidward were dating

Anon, get real for a moment.
You can find that shit in this timeline no problem.
>turn a character, any character, into a 15 year old girl
Correct, I would get a boner, thanks for clarifying.
>Squidward has a bunch of tentacles
>Spongebob has a bunch of holes
They were made for each other
They already did that in an episode.
Spongebob didn't like it at all.
fr
they were made for each other
Amphibia
>gay couple
>lesbian couple
what point are you trying to prove OP?
Your dad's condom broke and your mom drank during her pregnancy.
Cry harder chud

When the mission changed
You know I really don't care if 90% of cartoon gays are lesbians, but I'm so sick of it just being a last minute/epilogue thing.
Yeah, i wish there were more openly gay male relationships in cartoons again.
Craig McCracken use to work on that cartoon and he never acknowledges his experience working on it.

Because the story is about guys being dudes.

Most recent one would be Pickle and Peanut. No lore so people hated it.
Timon and Pumbaa was kino, kys.
You weren't alive when it was airing. You should've been aborted.
I was born 7 months before it stopped airing (Feb 99). Nice try, kiddo.

Yah! AND? It's still a shitty show!
Gays have nothing but gross stuff without co-opting things of friendship
Timon and pumbaa are ren and Stimpy clones in the first place, you're just denying reality
I was hoping not to attract you, but it was unavoidable.
Shitty ren and stimpy clones are always shit because they don't actually understand why ren and stimpy was good in the 1st place, so I agree.
Ok
It became time to advance Satan's agenda

?
isn't the bottom show in picrel that dogshit written by RoosterTeeth? do people still pretend they're funny?
you grew up
Age has nothing to do with quality.
Care Bears is for babies, yet baby me always hated it.
Barney gives me that feeling too. That fricker needs to stay dead!
I can show old cartoons to my friends who have never seen them and they can still appreciate how good they are while recognizing newer shit is trash.
i can cherry pick too.
No, you can cherry pick alone
Nepotism
I'm gonna go with 2013, it just feels right
